😃✨ Sculpture Challenge - 2nd Update:

If your child would love to make one with us, please book their place before Wednesday evening.

The 1st coat on my wire sculpture is fully dry! 🖌️

The 2nd coat went on much faster because the PVA and white acrylic mix already sealed the tiny holes, and the tights stretched taut as they dried.

Tip: Lighter-coloured tights make coverage quicker, but I’m just using what I had to hand! 😊 I might just need a quick 3rd base coat for the ultimate blank canvas before painting.

😃✨ NEW PROJECT ALERT: Smiles 3-Week Sculpture Challenge! ✨

Over the next three weeks at Smile Creative Crafts 🎉 Smiles Home-Ed Sessions (5-11) plus 🎒🎨 Smiles After-School Craft Club (5-14), we’re transforming simple wire frames and tights into stunning, free-form wavy sculptures! 🌀🎨

The journey: Build the wire structure, prime the fabric, and paint your very own colourful design straight onto the hardened shell.

While coats dry, we won't waste a minute—we'll dive into paper crafts and textile art too!

Led by Susan (experienced educator & former Headteacher with 30+ years of teaching), these sessions help children unwind, have fun and bring their imaginations to life. 🎨🧶🫟

🎃 What a marvellously mindful afternoon of Mandala Dot Art!

Last Thursday at Smiles After-School Craft Club, the children used a simple circular lid to guide their pumpkin plus specialised mandala tools to create fabulous, effective results.

They loved it as much as the weaving the previous week—and were requesting more, even when time was up! It was a truly enjoyable, relaxing creative escape.

Want to try this at home? If you do not have dot tools, all you need is a simple cotton bud!
