You’ve worked hard, shown resilience, and come so far already. Remember: these exams are just one part of your journey, not the whole story. Believe in yourselves, stay focused, and do your best β€” that’s all anyone can ask.

πŸ“šβœ¨ World Book Day at Daylesford!

Today, staff got into the spirit of World Book Day by dressing up as characters from treasure island . It was great to see the creativity and enthusiasm across the school, and most importantly, to use the day as an opportunity to celebrate reading with our students. πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ

Events like this are a great way to make books feel fun, accessible and engaging. Seeing staff join in helps create a positive culture around reading and storytelling.

A big well done to everyone who took part and helped make the day enjoyable for our students. πŸ“–πŸ‘

Curious Creatures visited our school today β€” and what an incredible learning opportunity it turned out to be!
Students explored hands-on experiences with a range of unusual animals, sparking curiosity, confidence, and thoughtful discussion. For many of our students activities like this help build engagement, communication skills, and a sense of wonder about the world around them.

A huge thank you to Curious Creatures for delivering such a safe, educational, and inspiring session. It’s amazing to see our young people asking brave questions, overcoming fears, and discovering new interests.

Creating memorable, meaningful learning experiences is what education should be all about.

🌺 Remembrance Sunday 🌺

Today, we pause to remember and honour all those who have served and sacrificed in times of war and conflict.

We stand together in gratitude and reflection, recognising the bravery of the men and women who fought for our freedom, and those who continue to serve today.

β€œAt the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Celebrating British Food Fortnight at Daylesford Academy! 🍴

Over the past two weeks, our students have been busy planning, preparing, and cooking a delicious range of traditional British dishes β€” from toad in the hole with a splash of homemade apple sauce to cheesecake and a Greggs cheese and onion bake .

This project has given our young people the chance to explore British culinary heritage while building vital life skills β€” teamwork, time management, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen.

We’re incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, independence, and pride our students have shown throughout this celebration of food and culture. A huge thank you to our staff team for their guidance and encouragement every step of the way! πŸ‘

πŸ‚πŸš A big thank you to Alison and the team at White Ribbon Association for delivering our brand-new smoking awareness boards! πŸšπŸ‚

These boards will help us raise awareness about the importance of making healthy choices and support our school community in learning more about the benefits of stopping smoking.

We’re looking forward to sharing important information and encouraging positive conversations with our students . πŸ’œ
