As part of the My Health topic this term, Jupiter class pupils have been taking part in lots of different healthy living activities, including cooking, games and life skills.

As part of lunchtime computer club, one of the pupils made this post!

In the Spring Term, Neptune Class began learning about animal care in My Future as part of their work experience topic. Pupils explored what different animals eat and learnt how to keep their living areas clean and tidy. Key Stage 3 pupils then started the Summer Term with a trip to Rose Cottage, where they were able to put their learning into practice.

One of our students, Dylan’s father and uncles, along with 60 cyclists, are taking part in a week-long charity cycle from the most southerly point of Ireland to the most northerly point — cycling 909 km along the Wild Atlantic Way in support of various charities.

Each year, the cyclists choose different charities to support, and this year Reynalds Cross School has been selected as one of the benefiting charities. We are incredibly grateful for this support and would appreciate any donations to help raise as much as possible for these amazing causes, including our school.

The cycle will take place from 17th July to 24th July.

We are truly thankful for the continued support shown to our school. From all our students, parents, staff, and the Friends of Reynalds Cross trustees and committee, we wish all the cyclists the very best of luck on this incredible challenge.

Please support these amazing cyclists by donating using the link below, or by scanning the QR code on this poster.

This half term in My Future, Saturn Class have been working on a mini-enterprise project to create items to sell for Renny Day. The class decided to make posters, and pupils have taken responsibility for choosing, organising, and preparing their resources ready for the project.

Our Walkathon Finale was the very first event as part of the school arm of Friends of Reynalds Cross Charity — and what an incredible day it was!

We were honoured to welcome our Mayor, along with Vibe Radio, who helped make the day even more special.

The Reynalds Cross School grounds truly came alive with our amazing community. Siblings made new friendships with other siblings who also have brothers or sisters at the school, while children and families connected and created wonderful memories together. As part of supporting mental health and wellbeing, the day felt absolutely perfect.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the event so special — all of our friends, families, volunteers, the school SLT and their children, and of course our incredible Reynalds Cross children, who completed an amazing 151 miles for the 151 students in their school, while also fundraising along the way.

You have all been incredible.

We are so proud to announce that the final total raised from the Walkathon is:

💙 £1,020 💙

Well done, everyone!

Keep an eye on our social media pages for more photos and videos from this fantastic day.

A huge thank you from all of the Trustees and Committee Members of Friends of Reynalds Cross School.

151 miles completed!

Together, we walked one mile for each of the 151 amazing students at our school.

A huge thank you to our children, parents, teachers, SLT, trustees and committee members for your incredible support. It’s been inspiring to see everyone come together, walking with friends and families, on foot or supported in wheelchairs, to raise funds for Reynalds Cross School.

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re ending our fundraiser with one final community walk at school.

Around 12:00 PM (after the Mayor arrives)
Finish: 1:00 PM

We’d love you to join us.

Even if you haven’t taken part so far, come along for our final walk and celebration of our amazing school, children and community.

We’re also delighted to welcome Annette Mackenzie and Vibe Radio, who will be supporting the event and capturing footage for an online episode.

Mars Class have been accessing a range of cross-curricular resources and activities to support holistic learning and communication. Pupils have been enjoying activities such as swimming, outdoor learning, cooking, and role-playing experiences based on Solihull High Street shops within the classroom during the summer term.

Moonbeams Class have started exploring their new topic of celebrations by taking part in a wedding themed sensology session. Pupils used their senses to experience different elements of a wedding. Their eyes saw the wedding lights, their noses smelled scented flowers, their ears listened to wedding music, their hands felt confetti and their mouths tasted wedding cake.
