Today, we held an Oscar-themed leavers' assembly for four of our students. The dress code was black tie, and each student was nominated with the results being unveiled from an envelope with a drumroll. We'd like to thank parents for attending and to wish those leaving us all the best and to know that they will be missed!

The chicks are now a week old!

Moonbeams have been learning about the post office this term

Thank you to Dad, Grandad or any special person that came to our fathers day assemblies yesterday!

After a weekend holiday at Miss Watkins house, the chicks are back looking twice the size! They are starting to develop their proper feathers and are just as noisy as when they left!

Congratulations to Mr Perrins who completed his climb up Mount Snowdon on Saturday and raised £834 toward Prostate Cancer Research. Thank you to those who donated and the page is still open if you wish to donate. Well done Mr Perrins!

Congratulations to Galaxies, Planets, Mars, Voyager and Mercury for winning this weeks Supernova Award for all having 100% attendance this week. Well done all!

All of our eggs have hatched! We now have 10 chicks in the Link. This morning some pupils helped to clean out the brooding box, changing the bedding and cleaning and refilling the food and water. Some of the chicks haven't realised that the food bowl is for eating and not for sitting on 🤦♀️

We now have 6 baby chicks! Pupils in Saturn and Neptune were lucky enough to watch the newest member of the brood hatch out of its shell.

We are having a Fun Run at school (main site) on 6th July at 1.30pm and we would love parents and carers to join us and participate!
As a school we have been working with Linnaeus, who are a chain of veterinarian practices across the UK, and they have chosen to raise funds to help us buy a new climbing tower for the playground. Linnaeus have also sponsored the school dogs Marlo and Daisy, ensuring they keep up with all their health checks and vaccines at 608 vets in Solihull.
They are completing a running challenge, running a mile for every pupil at Reynalds Cross and will be finishing at our school at 1.45pm on the 6th July. To give them the final push they need we will be running the final leg, supported by our fabulous new Reynalds Cross School mascot - 'Renny' - and a select number of pupils to represent each class.
Once everyone has crossed the finish line, we will continue the fun by celebrating our school values, saying thank you to Linnaeus, and rewarding our efforts by holding an outdoor picnic on the school field.
If you would like to attend and support your child in the running, walking or supporting their wheelchair then please Dojo message your child's teacher to inform them that you will be attending the event. You can also support by clicking on the link and sponsoring Linnaeus or sharing the link on your social media.
And most importantly,
Don't forget your running trainers!

Today is day 2 of our egg hatching experience! All of the eggs should hatch some point later this week. After 24 hours we will move the chicks to a heated brooding box where pupils will feed, clean and care for them. For now though, nothing to report!
Thank you to all the parents who attended today's PECS session

Last Friday we held a whole school disco to celebrate the coronation of Charles III. Pupils were invited to wear red white and blue and took photos with a royal backdrop and props.

Today our key stage 3 pupils took part in a Volunteering Day. Pupils chose their preferred activity from litter picking the park next to school, sorting charity shop donations and planting our new planters at the front of school. Everyone worked very hard and enjoyed themselves. Special thanks to Stephen Bellion for sponsoring two of the planters and to Carl Monk for making four more for us.
