The holiday season is approaching and I have created traditional Thanksgiving meals that are super healthy and indulgent yet will keep you on track over the festive period🌱🌱

Tips for staying on track over the festivities 🎄 🎄🎄
- Realistic Goals:
* Set achievable goals for your weight loss during the holidays.
* Know that maintaining your current weight is an accomplishment.
* Allow occasional indulgences, understanding one meal won't ruin your progress.
* Focus on being consistent over time.
- Mindful Eating:
* Enjoy each bite and pay attention to your hunger and fullness.
* Bring a healthy dish to gatherings like my Mac ‘n’ Cheese and peach cobbler for dessert.
- Lower-Calorie Choices:
* Pick foods with lower calorie density at holiday feasts. Look for the raw veggies, fruits and breads. Fill most your plate with these foods.
* Bring nutrient-dense options like veggies, your own hummus or fruit to gatherings.
- Manage Stress:
* Schedule walks daily like any other commitment to lower stress levels. Walking produces happy hormones & lowers stress hormones.
* Use techniques like meditation and other self care options to prevent emotional eating.
- Smart Indulgence:
* Enjoy holiday treats in moderation.
* Choose favorites and savor them.
* Fill half your plate with healthier options.
- Stay Hydrated:
* Drink water throughout the day.
* Be mindful with alcohol beverages- enjoy a glass of fizz and set limits. Alcohol can cause us to lose our inhibitions and dehydrate us, ramping up the hunger drive causing you to overeat.
* Keep a water bottle nearby for consistent hydration.

✅ Contain lots of fibre keeping us full for longer & balance our hormones. Fibre actually carries excess hormones out of the body

The most incredible journey 🌱 A plant-based diet rich in starches transformed my weight & hormones. Developing a lifestyle that’s sustainable because I get to eat more to weigh less eating tons of rice, potatoes, pasta, oats, bread, beans and fruit is a dream to me! These foods allowed me to reach my goals and get LEAN!
I said Goodbye to restrictive, excessive diets!! I was never able to reach my goals spending years doing fad restrictive diets! Diets which aren’t sustainable in the long term. Often putting the lbs back on and some? Does this sound familiar??????? Comment 👇👇👇👇👇👇

Photo dump 💕Spanish islands, staying on track whilst travelling, whole food plant-based 🌱🌱
Primary feed- my summer was filled with travelling the Spanish islands- exploring the old towns, water sports, coastal walks, sunset swims and family time. This is my true primary feed. Spending time with loved ones, activities and exploring.
Focus on these been the primary event! Change your mindset! Rather than focusing on the food & drink being the main event!!
The primary feed brings you true happiness and a rush of happy hormones.
Secondary feed- fuel your body with whole plant-foods that are going to allow you to be the best version of you. Foods that allow you to shed or maintain weight, balance your hormones, remain healthy & feel energised. Don’t allow yourself to feel sluggish, bloated and pile on the pounds during your holiday/vacation! Come back from your trip relaxed, energised and fulfilled.
My days were filled with-
- Fruit
- Morning oats (this is my staple every morning)
- Salads without oil! Breads without butter or oil.
- Grains and veggies
- Poke bowls filled with rice, fruits and veggies
- Pasta with an oil free dressing
Ask for what you want! Meals can be adapted.
Processed foods and high fat animal products can be exciting to indulge in the moment but often leaves you feeling bloated, fatigued, inflamed and weight gain happens plus the feelings of guilt that surround the over indulgence, actually increasing stress hormones.
We get a dopamine rush from the thought of these foods and the refined sugar on our tongues is an explosion! But this leads to a huge come down and feelings of guilt.
Of course special occasions intentionally will happen but don’t make every day a special occasion.

What I eat in a day 🌱🌱
Eat more to weigh less!! 🌱🌱 22 lbs down & hormones balanced.
A plant-based/vegan diet, no oil and low fat allowed me to drop 22lbs and maintain my weight sustainably! The lifestyle allows you to eat more to weigh less 🙌🙌🙌
A diet rich in carbs - potatoes, beans, lentils, breads, pasta, oats, fruits and veggies filled with fibre and lower in caloric density meant I was full and satisfied during my journey. Snack - Fruit, summer roll, baked baby potatoes.

How my plant-based journey began 🌱🌱
These are the most incredible books I’ve ever read! The research and knowledge these plant based doctors share is powerful!
I began my journey reading ‘The Starch Solution’! It opened up my eyes to optimal health, eating more and weighing less! I never looked back!
I lost 20 + lbs, feel amazing and living my best life 💚🌱eating in abundance. This lifestyle allows you to eat abundantly making it a sustainable lifestyle long term!
My energy levels increased, my PMS vanished, bloating disappeared, skin glowed and I got lean 💪
I just had to share it so I trained as a plant based nutrition coach and developed the White Sage Nutrition Program 🌱

These meals shed my excess body fat and took me to lean!! I didn’t need to restrict or feel hunger, I created a lifestyle that was sustainable in the long term to reach my goals.
This lifestyle is like no other, as well as excess body fat shedding off, the high fibre nutritious meals balanced my hormones- PMS vanished, energy increased, bloating disappeared, mood lifted! Just wow these whole plant foods were miracle workers! I was hooked!
I learnt along my journey that I didn’t need to be afraid of carbs- carbs was never the problem! Avoiding just caused hormonal issues and yo yo dieting! It’s all a complete myth that carbs make you fat! Humans aren’t even efficient at turning them to fat! We burn them off as fuel!
Eating a diet filled with starches - pasta, oats, potatoes, bread, rice, beans, lentils as well as an abundance of fruit & veggies meant I could fill up, feel satisfied because all these foods are actually low in caloric density! This brownie has been designed for you to enjoy on your weight loss journey! You do not need to miss out! I’ve just swapped some ingredients to help you stay in a calorie deficit 💚💚
This rich sweet brownie feels extremely indulgent! All my clients are using them and shedding lbs 🙌🙌🙌
Plus the health benefits are insane! Hormone balancing- they actually remove excess hormones, lifting your mood, increasing your energy and improving your PMS! Have you ever heard of a brownie like it 🙌🙌
Ingredients-
200g baked sweet potato (these work so well! Trust me)
3/4 cup oats blended
1/4 cup plant-milk
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp black cocoa - optional to create jet black brownies.
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cacao nibs
Pinch of salt
Bake the sweet potato and allow to cool! Ideally bake the day before. Remove skin (eat them 😉).
Blend oats up a little and then add all ingredients to a bowl and mix.
Place parchment paper into a baking dish/tray and smooth out mixture. Bake for 25 mins and then allow to cool before slicing.
Pair with some berries to reduce the caloric density even more!
Swapping the high calorie butter, eggs, chocolate and processed refined sugar and flour - all of which contain zero fibre and do nothing but play havoc with our hormones and cause weight gain! Will create the ultimate weight loss brownie 🙌

Boost fertility using these 5 foods 💚 SAVE!
Overall a plant-based diet will support hormonal balance.
The anti-inflammatory effects of a plant-based diet creates an improved environment for fertility. The high fibre foods help to remove excess unwanted hormones that can cause hormonal haywire.
ONLY PLANT-BASED FOOD- Potatoes, oats, grains, corns, beans, lentils, fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds contain fibre. ANIMAL PRODUCTS DO NOT! Leaving you open to excess hormones circulating.
Animal products are acidic causing inflammation within the body. Fish for fertility we hear a lot due to the essential fatty acids they contain but the saturated fat, high cholesterol and high mercury levels which can cause heart and brain disease are not worth the risk. You will get all essential fatty acids on a plant-based diet without exposing yourself to access toxins.
A plant-based diet filled with phytonutrients, fibre, nutrient dense foods containing folate which is essential for preventing neural tube defects in early pregnancy are important for fertility.
