Well done Arjun and Mahil for completing ‘Sayanara’ from our Music Adventures book 2 course. Our group lessons are usually for one hour for 4-8 students, but did you know we offer 30 minute lessons for 2 students? These are very popular especially for siblings. This is still at a group rate fee, and we stream the lessons to a private portal. We have limited places available for these lessons so get in touch if you would like to explore this option. 🎵 🎹 🎸 🥁 🎤

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our wonderful founder, Jane.
Jane started Solihull Music School, with Phil and Kate in 2004, and for more than twenty years she was its heart — the warmest of welcomes, the calmest of voices on the phone, and someone who came to know hundreds of children as if they were her own.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Robin Hood Crematorium yesterday, and at The Malt Shovel in Barston, to celebrate her life, and to all of you who have sent such kind messages over the past few weeks. Your love and support has meant the world to her family and to all of us at the school.
Jane’s spirit, warmth and belief in every child will continue to live on in everything we do here.
With love,
The Solihull Music School family

We are back open tomorrow for lessons!
We have a lot of news to share this term — new teachers, brilliant exam results, and some important updates for all families.
You can read everything in our latest newsletter on the website. 💜
But first, something more personal.
This photo was taken on the last day at our old school — the moment before Solihull Music School began its next chapter at The Laurels.
That's Jane, Kate and Phil Teare: the family who built this school from nothing, 21 years ago.
Sadly, we must share that Jane passed away at home on Easter Sunday, 5 April, after bravely fighting pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her family. She had been part of this school since the very first day — managing exams, keeping everything running, and always referring to the music school as "her baby."
She was exactly right about that.
Jane's funeral will take place on Thursday 30 April. If anyone from our school family would like to know more or attend, please contact Brendan through reception at the school tomorrow: 01675 443456.
Full newsletter — including all the term news — is on the website now. Link in comments. 💜
