Divya's Natya Alaya

Divya's Natya Alaya Welcome to Divya's Natya Alaya. A place for everyone to explore, enjoy and experience art.

About Divya's Natya Alaya (DNA):
The dance school's inception in Solihull is to promote and educate people of all age groups in the Indian classical art forms of Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam. It has its roots in the Indian Classical Dance Academy based in Sheffield since 2010. The motive is to ensure that the students understand, enjoy and appreciate the art forms. As an advancement in their learning experience, the students are taught the basic nuances of Nattuvangam for a more holistic understanding of the art. About the teacher:
Divya Unnikrishnan is a resident of Solihull and has been teaching these art forms in the UK for close to 14 years. She has a diploma in Bharatanatyam and a Masters degree in Mathematics. Her passion for dance led her to start classes in the UK ,ensuring that the current and the next generation are aware, cherish and nurture the art forms that has existed amongst us for centuries. Divya is currently a sishya of Kalailamani Guru Gopika Varma (Mohiniyattam), Guru Kalashetra Sruthy Jayan (Bharatanatyam) and Smt Kalamandalam Karthika Harikrishnan (Nattuvangam)

Natya Dhwani has always been my dream and vision. I feel truly blessed to begin this event with a Ganesha performance, seeking His divine blessings. May Lord Ganesha continue to guide us, remove all obstacles, and shower His grace on this beautiful journey. Grateful to everyone who is part of making this dream a reality. 🥰🤗

✨ Natya Dhwani 2026 Inauguration ✨

A beautiful beginning filled with blessings, grace, and cherished moments.

Heartfelt gratitude to our beloved Chief Guest, Chitra Suresh , for gracing the occasion with her presence. Special thanks to Marathakam Narayanan for the soulful prayer song, Nithya Santhosh for the welcome speech and to everyone who contributed to making the welcome ceremony memorable.

A special mention to our wonderful emcees maklikz for guiding the event beautifully, and to Vyshu for creating the elegant background banner that added charm to the occasion.

What made this day even more special was the presence of my Achan and Amma, whose love, blessings, and support mean everything to me. ❤️🙏
