A heartfelt thank you to the teams at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Solihull & Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Stafford for participating in our annual Inset Day!

Today was a valuable opportunity to reflect on 2024, outline our priorities for 2025, and set goals aligned with our vision. We engaged in refresher training on legislation, safeguarding, policies, procedures, curriculum, and teaching and learning. We also explored effective communication within teams, focusing on "Unlocking the Zoo Keeper Within!".

A special thanks to Amit Sharma and Barb Homer for collaborating with me to lead today's sessions!

A huge thank you to Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries LTD for hosting a fantastic annual network conference! It was wonderful to reconnect with old friends, forge new connections, and draw inspiration from the speakers.

The icing on the cake? Being honoured with the “Distributor of Smiles” award! 🏆

This recognition means so much to me because I genuinely believe that, no matter the challenges life throws our way, positivity is key to embracing every moment.

We had such a fun time celebrating our wonderful children who are leaving us this summer to go to school 🎉 We loved spending the afternoon with Marvin the monkey 🐵 Good luck to all of our leavers and we can’t wait for you to embark on your new journey 🎉

Preschool have being doing some activities around the story “Superworm”

Today our lovely Sophie brought in her African snail 🐌 and Tarantula 🕷️. The children loved looking and learning about the spider and even fed the snail.

Curious cubs have been focusing their activities around the story book: “Moo Moo Mooing” 🐮🐄

They have been drawing their animals, washing their animals and had fun painting their animals. They have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the cows

Garden Fun 🥰

Curious Cubs have been enjoying their time in the garden, they have been playing in the construction play, making yummy meals in the mud kitchen and planting some daffodils in our trays.

Our Adventurous Bears have been enjoying some sensory activities; they have been playing with different coloured water, washing the animals, coloured rice and even made their own 4th July Flags 🇺🇸

Fun Fact: Sensory play enhances the way in which a child reacts to their environment through visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, olfactory and gustatory perceptions.
