Are you a passionate Early Years Educator wanting to join a growing team?
As an Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children (2-8) to learn and grow.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the health and safety of the children in your care.

Duties include -
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons and activities that promote learning and development
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for children to explore, play, and learn
- Observe and assess children's progress, identifying areas for improvement or additional support
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and any incidents or accidents that occur
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of the children

Qualifications -
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children

Qualities and Experience Required:
NNEB, NVQ3 or Btec qualified with experience in working within an EYFS setting.

You will need to be flexible and enthusiastic with the right mannerism, respect and approach to children and other personnel.

For any children currently in year 6 attending ANY school. Register now, places are free.

We are delighted to be restarting our parish youth group. This is for Yr. 6 and up and will run on Fridays from 5pm – 6.20pm at the Oliver Bird Hall (next to St. Alphege Church), beginning this Friday 17th November. Sessions will include pizza, activities, and games – and will be led by our experienced youth team who have undergone safeguarding training and checks at the highest level. The aim is to provide a safe space where friendships and faith can grow, enjoying lots of fun at the same time. There is no charge, but registering is essential. **** CHRISTMAS FAIR ****

We are so excited to announce details for the Christmas Fair which will be held on Friday 8th December 4-6pm at Infant School. We have a number of fantastic stalls, games and goodies planned! Entrance can be paid on the door so please bring your family and friends along to enjoy!!

Santa will be in his grotto and if you would like see him and carry out some fun activities with his elves, slots can be booked on PTA Events from Monday 20th November. Slots are limited so get in early to avoid disappointment!

In order to collect things we need for the Fair, each year group has been allocated an item from our “wish list” which we would like you to bring in on Wednesday 29th November. Details of this are also below!!

More details will follow later in the month about the Christmas raffle and bake sale which will be held at the event.

As in previous years, Year 2 parents have been asked to lead on the running of the event. We however do still require some more volunteers to help run stalls. If you are able to help on the day please comment below or email [email protected]

We have been notified this evening of an incident involving a car and pedestrians on Church Hill Road.

This matter has been reported to the police and other relevant authorities.

Whilst we hope this incident will not be repeated, we urge each of you to be vigilant whilst dropping off / collecting your children.

This weekend is your last chance to add your name to the sign up sheet available in St Alphege and St Helen's. You do not need to sign up if you are members of the clergy, readers, wardens, choirs or music groups.

The service will be live-streamed for people to watch at home for those unable to attend. The link can be found on the front page of our website www.solihullparish.org.uk
Parking: Plenty of space in the Civic Centre Car Park B91 3PX after 6pm. It is free - no need to get a ticket. Approach from small roundabout at the top of Church Hill Road, turn towards Touchwood Shopping Centre, and keep going left all round the Council Buildings to find parking spaces. Malvern Park car park is another option. Both are a short walk to the church.
All those attending are welcome to come to the OBH after the service for drinks and cake.

Are you well-organised and able to thrive in a busy office environment? You could be just the person we are seeking to join our team of administration staff working in the Parish Office.
Key aspects of this role will be a flexible attitude and approach to work with a high level of professionalism and strong administrative capabilities and experience of modern office practices. You will need to be very people focused with excellent team working and people skills. The role also requires good IT skills such as MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the ability to take minutes, and experience of using a variety of social media such as Twitter, Facebook.

The post is part-time, 14 hours per week.
These can be split between 4 or 5 days per week, one of which must be Monday, core hours 9.00am – 12 noon.
Part of this role will be minute secretary to the PCC which will involve working one evening every other month.
