The children created a large turtle🐢 as part of world turtle day as well representing one of the children's favourite nursery rhyme. Encouraged to develop gross motor skills while using their hands and feet to creates marks.
'I had a little turtle, his name was tiny Tim
I put him in the bath tub 🛀to see if he could swim. He drank up all the water and ate up all the soap and now he's gone to bed with a bubble in his throat. Bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble, bubbleee, bubbleeee, bubbleeeee POP!!

The toddlers created a beautiful artistic honey pot for bee day. The toddlers used tissue papper, feathers and felt to create a giant honey pot. 🍯
The children were encouraged to use speech and language during the activity and their fine motor skills when glueing and sticking.

During Easter week we asked the children to bring in their own decorated Easter bonnets or baskets these are some their beautiful and unique creations. we hope you all had a wonderful Easter break 🐣

Here at The Playhouse Day Nursery, we have celebrated Lunar New Year by taking part in multiple activities. Our aim was to promote culturally sensitive, informative and age-appropriate activities that educate on the meaning and purpose of Lunar New year. These included activities such as orange infused water play, personalizing they’re on lanterns and fans and making their own tiger masks. We listened and made music and danced.
