It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and long-time employee, Teresa.

Teresa shared her life with so many of your little ones over the years, bringing them love, care, happiness and education. She touched the lives of so many children and families and truly was a light to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Teresa will be deeply missed by us all, and we will always remember the warmth, kindness and joy she brought to so many lives.

Teresa’s family warmly welcomes anyone who would like to join them in remembering and celebrating her life at her funeral on Friday 28th August at 12.30 at Trent Valley Crematorium.

Please keep Teresa, her family and loved ones in your thoughts at this incredibly difficult time. ❤️

This week the children have been enjoying their last week before the summer holidays or before starting big school in September! They enjoyed the summer party making bracelets, having face painting and tattoos done and eating yummy food including a special surprise visit from the an ice cream van kindly organised by the preschool committee. Enjoy the summer holidays and and wish our preschool leavers all the best at big school!

This week the children’s topic is ‘School’. Children have played in our school; practising writing their names, using the song board and exploring sensory numerals on our light box. The children have also enjoyed free painting, playing with worms in the mud and making big obstacle courses outside.

This week our phonics topic is ‘Witches and Wizards’. The children have been busy working out the Wizards CVC words for his spell and helping the witches with their rhyming spells. The children have also made magic potions and wands.

This week our phonic topic is ‘Magical Creatures’. The children have identified CVC words in the fairy garden and CVC words in the unicorn rainbow game. They have also made flower pictures, fairy lavender tea and purchased bouquets from the garden centre.
