Unfortunately, due to Covid 19, you can no longer just turn up on the day. Except WALKABOUT WEDNESDAYS - just turn up between 10am & 2pm on Wednesdays, no need to book. We provide an environment in which people with special needs and disabilities of all ages can develop and grow in confidence, by working with and being in contact with animals. For over 40 years, Heathrow Special Needs Centre has provided a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where people with disabilities can spend time with animals, take part in meaningful activities and enjoy the benefits of being outdoors.

💚 A little look around Heathrow Special Needs Centre…

Sometimes the best way to understand what makes our Centre so special is simply to see it for yourself.

In this video, our trustee Andy takes you on a walk around Heathrow Special Needs Centre and explains a little more about who we are, what we do and the people we are here to support.

For over 40 years, the Centre has provided a welcoming, inclusive place where people with disabilities and additional needs can spend time with our animals, enjoy the outdoors and experience everything our very special environment has to offer. 🐴🐐🐓🌿

We welcome thousands of visits each year, and none of this would be possible without the generosity of our supporters.

On a distant, particularly cold, week back in May we had a fabulous workgroup from Centrica. They spent four days with us, worked really really hard and helped us transform some areas of HSNC.
One of the many jobs they did was build some new planters in the plough garden. Bare and empty back in that cold May, just look at them now! 🩷👏😀🥬🥒

🧁 Paige & Michelle raised over £165 for us — could YOU be our next fundraiser? 💚🐐

A HUGE thank you to our wonderful visitors Paige and her mum Michelle, pictured here with our lovely Bronwyn 🐐💚

Paige and Michelle decided they wanted to do something to support Heathrow Special Needs Centre, so they organised their very own cake sale — and raised an incredible £165+ for the Centre! 🧁🍰👏

We think Bronwyn was pretty impressed too… although judging by photo number two, she couldn’t resist being a little bit cheeky and sticking her tongue out for the camera! 😜🐐

For a small independent charity like ours, fundraising like this really does matter.

⭐ Could YOU organise a fundraiser for HSNC?

Here are just a few ideas:

🐱 Happy International Cat Day! 🐾

Today we’re celebrating our very own 👸 Sindy, resident cat here at Heathrow Special Needs Centre. 💛

Like any good farm cat, Sindy very much does things on her own terms! She’s a familiar face around the Centre and an important part of our wonderful family of animals.

🌟 Meet the Team – Tash 🌟

This week we’re introducing Tash, who joined the Heathrow Special Needs Centre team in June 2025.

Tash has become a valued member of the team, always happy to get stuck in, whether that’s caring for the animals, helping visitors or tackling the never-ending jobs around the centre.

Now, we don’t have favourite animals here… 👀 but if Tash had to choose, she’d probably say Perry the horse 🐴, Storm the pony 🐴, Arnold & Jilly the donkeys 🫏🫏, and our cheeky goats Ronnie & Reggie 🐐🐐. If she could, we’re fairly sure she’d take them all home with her!

She also has a favourite wheelbarrow (yes, really! 😂) and insists it’s the best one at the centre.

At the end of a busy day, Tash is always happy to help tidy up. Her only request? A bright pink broom to make sweeping a little more colourful! 💗🧹

If you see Tash around the centre, chances are she’ll have a Monster sports drink 🥤 close by to keep her going.

Away from the centre, Tash is kept company by her two cats, Gizmo 🐈 and Lyra 🐈. In her spare time she enjoys gaming 🎮, Pokémon ⚡ and heading off to Boomtown Festival 🎪.

Thank you, Tash, for everything you do for Heathrow Special Needs Centre. We’re very lucky to have you as part of the team. 💚
