Secondary school students who take perform better in math, science and English than their nonmusical peers, according to a new large-scale study published in the American Psychological Association’s Journal of Educational Psychology.

The Slough Music Service offers a wide range of instrumental lessons for individuals, small groups and whole classes. Students can also get the chance to perform in orchestras, choirs and bands!

Dear all,
Due to current weather conditions and many schools already being closed we have made the decision to cancel this evenings music center rehearsals at Beechwood. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. We will resume rehearsals as normal next Thursday 8th March.

MUSIC CENTRE CLOSED 1ST MARCH DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS

01 Mar 2018, 08.30: Due to adverse weather conditions, many other school closures across the borough and Beechwood school cancelling all after school clubs today (Thursday 1st March) we have decided to cancel music centre as attendance is likely to be very poor, and conditions may worsen throughout the day.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and look forward to seeing you next week.

The Slough Music Centre is now offering group drumming as part of the Thursday evening activities.

Open to all aged 7 - 18. We provide the drums, so just come along at 3.50pm for registration. The sessions end at 6.15pm. .. And we have bands / ensembles for those students that already play a pop, orchestral or world instrument.
