Day two complete! Crispin spent the morning learning about streams and rivers, we even got to take a hike through the stream! Then this afternoon, we have been bouldering, traipsing though a blind fold maze and we finished the evening with a beautiful campfire and marshmallows. We’re having a wonderful time, but we are also looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

It’s been a fantastic first day at Sayers Croft with Year 4. We’ve been shelter building, orienteering and for a night time walk to a roundhouse. We’ve just finished off the day with hot chocolate and a movie.

Tomorrow will be stream walking and our first climbing activities, we can’t wait!

Our Early Years outside area has just been renovated and is being enjoyed by the children! Next term we are planning to create allotments so that the children can grow their own herbs, flowers and vegetables.

If you child was born between 1st September 2017 and the 31st March 2019 you are eligible to apply for a place in the Nursery to start in April. All 3/4 year olds are entitled to 15 free hours, so as long as your child doesn't attend another setting there will be no cost to you. The nursery is open from 8.30 – 11.30 Monday – Friday during term time.

We are excited to announce that we will be taking a January intake into nursery this year!

If your child was born between 1st September 2017 and the 31st December 2018 they are eligible to apply for a nursery place. The nursery is open from 8.30 – 11.30 Monday – Friday. Please contact the school office if you would like to find out more information, or to arrange a visit.

The Nursery is run by an experienced teacher, who has been teaching at Pippins for nearly a decade! The children enjoy a variety of activities and use the indoor classroom and outside space for their learning. The outdoor area is currently being updated with new flooring and equipment. A new climbing frame will be installed in the new year (see the photo below). There are always fun activities going on in Nursery and often we can smell the aromas of their lovely cooking, hear them singing or see them engrossed in activities.
