But how do we support Mathematics at Blue Willow?

Mathematics can be taught at all ages and stages of development using a variety of everyday methods including: -
- counting stairs
- measuring ingredients in cooking
- sharing a group of resources
- using money whilst out and about (with adult support)
- counting down in games such as hide and seek
- building with blocks - coloured ones can help with pattern recognition
- using mathematical language such as big, small, light, heavy, full, empty, less, more, equal
