Some samples of our Summer Term 2025! We open for our Autumn Term on 4th September 2025 and Welcome our new Headteacher - Mrs Tracy Ball. We pride ourselves on educating 2 to 4 year-olds to a high standard, providing an enriched learning environment and ensuring children are school ready! Other activities that took place in our last term of the school year were - sports day, under the sea linked learning and the opening of our sensory and nature garden. In May, children learned about VE day and how people in Britain celebrated the end of countries fighting and arguing - we looked at how everyone was happy to have peace and goodwill restored.

Lots of fun today at Lea Nursery School. After learning about the significance of the egg at Easter (new life, rebirth, and Jesus's resurrection from the tomb, mirroring the concept of a new beginning) we were blessed to be visited by the Easter Bunny! More of our Easter fun to come!

What a busy time of Year! Last week we made Eid cards, Mother's Day cards and children have been learning about Eid as a cultural event. They have also been learning about Mother's day being a day of showing our appreciation for female role models in our lives who take care of us. We have also celebrated the Hindu Nav Varsha - Hindu New Year (Sunday 30th March)!

He has his insurance in place, has been approved by Click-2-Heel Dog Training Team, Bracknell, and has his bespoke Risk Assessment in place. Children have been talking a lot about their parents preparations for Eid, including their parents' visits to the beauty salons. Children began to role paly in our garden gazebo, pretending it was a beauty salon...teachers' took the children's lead and helped them develop the salon over the week! Hindu celebration of Holi - Starts 25th March 2025.

Lea Nursery children have been learning about different cultures and religions, including Christianity and Lent, Islam and Ramadan / Eid and the Hindu celebration of Holi! Here are some pictures of children taking part in Holi based activities.

BBC Bitesize describe Holi is a Hindu festival that celebrates spring, love, and new life.

Some families hold religious ceremonies, but for many Holi is more a time for fun. It's a colourful festival, with dancing, singing and throwing of powder paint and coloured water.

Holi is also known as the "festival of colours".
