What an incredible day for our young rugby players at the Allianz Stadium in Twickenham - the home of English rugby!

The children had the amazing opportunity to explore the players’ changing rooms, walk through the famous rugby tunnel and step onto the iconic Allianz Stadium pitch — just like the professionals before a big game!

They even got to play rugby on the famous pitch alongside rugby legend Jason Robinson OBE. Jason was an England and Great Britain international in both rugby union and rugby league and was part of England’s 2003 Rugby World Cup-winning team.

It was a truly special experience, and the children came home with huge smiles, fantastic memories, new rugby shoes and water bottles! 👟🏉

A day they will certainly never forget!!

Special thanks to our wonderful PE Lead Teacher Mrs. O. Rakhra for organising these amazing opportunities for our children to experience during their time at Khalsa Primary School.

We are so proud of our staff members, Mrs. Clarke and Mrs. Virdi, for successfully completing the Windsor Half Marathon on Sunday 26th September. 🏃‍♀️🎉

Running 13.1 miles is an amazing achievement that requires incredible dedication, hard work, and consistent preparation. By taking on this challenge, they are setting a fantastic example for our children on the importance of staying active, healthy, and committed! 👏🌟

Today our children from Khalsa Primary School went to the Kirtan Darbar being held at Pioneer Secondary Academy to celebrate the Pehla Prakash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. They performed 3 Shabads after PSA students also performed Kirtan. It was amazing to see both schools performing Kirtan and doing Ardas together. It was also wonderful to also see former KPS pupils now continuing to perform Kirtan and also do Ardas at PSA just like they did before.

Last week on Wednesday 16th September we had our official opening of the new School Library at Khalsa Primary School. Our special guest for this grand occasion was Mrs. Harpreet Kaur Bassan, who is an author of two children's Sikhi book. Mrs. Bassan delivered a speech to all the children in the Gurdwara first to explain about the importance of books and how to look after them with respect.

Then the new chosen Library Monitors came to be part of the grand opening of the new School Library, with a ribbon cutting and a discussion with the author. They each received their new yellow badges to make them official Library Monitors.

Our Senior Leadership Team were also part of the grand opening too, with the new Deputy Head giving a floral gift to our esteemed guest as a token of our appreciation for coming. We are grateful to Mrs. P. Panesar (our new School Librarian) for organising this grand opening event last week.

On Saturday 19th September children from Khalsa Primary School performed Kirtan at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha - Slough. This was at a special annual Akhand Kirtan Smagam that was arranged by Slough Sikh School Trust for both schools to perform there. Our children performed after Pioneer Secondary Academy did Kirtan there.

The Sangat were very impressed at seeing how well our children performed 3 Kirtan Shabads to celebrate Pehla Prakash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Thank you to Mr. Amanpreet Singh (the Shabad Teacher) for teaching them the Shabads for them to be able to perform so well on the night.

It’s not just our children who are sporty and active — our Khalsa Primary School teaching staff are too!

A huge well done to Mrs Virdi, who completed The Big Half Marathon in London on 6th September 2026 — 13.1 miles (21.1 km) alongside 17,000 participants! 🏃‍♀️🔥

What an incredible achievement and a fantastic example of leading by example! 👏🏅

We are super proud of you, Mrs Virdi! 🌟

Today marks the Pehla Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji 🙏💙

Pehla Prakash Purab commemorates the first time Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Sikh holy scripture, was inaugurated and ceremoniously opened at Harimandar Sahib in Amritsar.

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the eternal Guru of the Sikhs, containing sacred teachings and hymns that guide Sikhs in how to live with compassion, equality, humility and devotion.

Our school community wishes everyone celebrating today a peaceful and blessed Pehla Prakash Purab.

We had a wonderful and blessed start to the new Academic Year yesterday with a Sukhmani Sahib Paat for all staff members in the morning from 6:30-8:00am before the children arrived for their first day in their new classes. The following is the Hukamnama we were blessed with after the Ardas, praying for the wellbeing, success and prosperity of the whole school community at Khalsa Primary School.

The Supreme Lord God, the Perfect Transcendent Lord, is pervading everywhere. ||Pause||

Ḋhur kee baṇee aaee.
The Bani of His Word emanated from the Primal Lord.

ਤਿਨਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਚਿੰਤ ਮਿਟਾਈ ॥

It eradicates all anxiety.

ਦਇਆਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ॥

The Lord is merciful, kind and compassionate.
