More recently we looked at the effects we could make through food!

For this we used:

Milk
Food colouring (of your choice)
Ear bud
Washing up liquid

Firstly we got the little ones to add milk into their plates before adding food colouring of their choice, then we would dip our cotton buds into the washing up liquid and then finally pressing the cotton bud into the centre of the mix.

The children really enjoyed this one and is definitely worth doing with your little ones at home!

Experiment Time

Exploding Bag experiment
During this activity the children had followed step by step instructions for the preparation, during each step the children would discuss with Jack & Sadia on the potential outcomes and hold discussions between themselves. the children really enjoyed this one and it is so easy to prep be sure to try this at home!

Well I think it’s safe to say that was a success, Huge thank you to Jodie who was more than helpful today helping ensure the hall was set up, the food was catered for correctly and also helping with the activities!! We just wanted to say a huge thank to all the parents for always putting your trust in us and we hope that this is just the beginning for us, Hopefully all the little ones had a fantastic day and we hope to see you all next week where we will resume our usual weekly activities! Hope you all have a fantastic Halloween.

Our dinosaur fossils!!

Dinosaur fossils was a great activity that created really good engagement between the children. Each of them have a real interest in dinosaurs so we thought which better way to extend of that then our very own dinosaur fossils, in these pictures you will see our step by step process of making our salt dough. The children had each taken turns adding the ingredients and then helping mixing it altogether before each taking their own piece to knead it together to strengthen their final product. Using our dinosaur skeleton figures we would encourage the children to press them into the dough creating a fossil like product each child had their own twist on this some would use multiple fossil figures and some would use the dinosaurs feet for a cool effect, make sure you check our next post for the finished product!
