Congratulations to this week’s TT Rocker of the Week!

The class practised sending a ball over a net and for it to land in a specific place.

Year 6 have started their new PE unit with Mr Strange, this term we are learning the basics of baseball. We started by playing a scatter ball game focussing on fielding effectively.

World Cup fever continues in York Class! We practised our football skills in PE this morning and even had a half time pep talk from our ‘manager’ Mr Strange! Some strong performances from a young and enthusiastic team. Come on, England!

Year 4 had a fabulous time at St Denys Church, Sleaford, when they joined other schools from the area as part of the Church Schools Festival. Super day of activities exploring Christianity from around the world and getting to make new friends.

Amy from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue came to speak to us this afternoon about what a Firefighter’s day might look like, fire safety at home and what to do in an emergency. She challenged to Year 2 to encourage their parents to check that their smoke alarms work at home.

Today, year 6 had a fantastic visit from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.

An amazing first sports day for York Class. Superb behaviour, participation and enthusiasm from everyone. We will all sleep well tonight!
