Are you warm, calm and reliable with a real love for children? Church Lane Primary is seeking a friendly Midday Supervisor to join our caring team and help make lunchtimes safe, active and enjoyable for our children.

About us
Church Lane Primary is a vibrant primary school with the motto: “Be kind, work hard, achieve greatness.” We serve a diverse community (38% disadvantaged; 20% EAL) and expect high standards of behaviour and learning from every child. Our curriculum and life-skills programme aim to prepare children to be resilient, respectful and ready for secondary school.

The role
You will supervise children across the lunchtime period, ensuring their safety, supporting positive play and encouraging healthy habits. Key responsibilities include:

Supervise children in the lunch hall, playground and classrooms during wet play.
Encourage children to eat lunch and monitor those who do not; report concerns to class teachers.
Organise and set out/clear away dining furniture and equipment.
Promote and support safe, purposeful play; organise simple play activities and help children share resources.

We are looking for a calm, positive presence who builds respectful relationships with children and staff.
Good communication skills; able to work well within a team.
Confident supervising energetic groups of primary-age children and managing behaviour consistently and fairly.

We have been working hard to get the school back looking like a school after all the building works, but we are so pleased with how it has all turned out.

Here are a few sneaky pictures starting with our refreshed SEND garden, our newly built SEND Classrooms, our specially designed sensory room (Mr Clay is having such fun), Our new Reception Garden and resources and our new music area in school (a.k.a. Church Lane Jam Junction.)

We also have some new outdoor resources in our games area including an interactive basket ball shooting game!!!

We hope you like all the new areas and we can not wait to see the children get great use from them tomorrow and in the future.

Still lots of projects and ideas going forward, so watch this space.

Finally, we can share our new Reception Outdoor area with you. We absolutely love it and we are sure the children will too.

As we get ready to return to school on Thursday next week, we are going to begin to share some pictures of what has changed in school. The first is the learning lodge- this has now been transformed into a therapeutic classroom which will have a huge impact on the children who will use it.

Around the back of school we have had the old muga removed and a new playground built with fence down the middle. The other side of the fence is now ready for the new forest school to be installed, which will be happening over the next 6 months.

Finally, you will see the school hall has been redone and the children have a brand new surface for our P.E lessons.

On Tuesday, we will begin sharing the Brand New Reception outdoor area, our new new SEND hub classrooms, our new music area and our state of the art Sensory Provision.

Church Lane Primary School OPEN DAYS for Reception 2027

We are pleased to announce our open days with you. These are for children due to start Primary School in September 2027. As with previous years, if none of the dates below work, please contact the school office at [email protected] where we can book you a personalised tour with our headteacher.

We were judged Outstanding in February 2025, one of only a few schools in Lincolnshire. We are a nationally recognised school, with us being one of 90 nationally to lead on the governments Rise Attendance and Behaviour Hubs project supporting schools across the country with best practice. Historically members of school staff have held similar roles working for the Department for Education supporting with EYFS practice.

We have an Outstanding EYFS provision, which is currently being renovated with a brand new £50,000 outdoor area that will be ready as of September 2026. We have other state of the art facilities including sensory rooms, Playing surfaces and a forest school which is currently under construction.

We are a family orientated school that not only looks to support our children but our parents too. We are proud to have just opened our Church Lane Community Hub which provides a meeting space and support for all to access.

We have an exemplary personal development offer that provides the children with endless possibilities and experiences. Our big one is taking the children to Paris.
