❄️ Big news! Our classrooms ALL have air conditioning! ❄️
As temperatures start to warm up slightly today, our children and staff are already feeling the benefits — even if a few members of staff are having a friendly disagreement over who gets to control the remote! 😂
On a serious note, if temperatures rise again, we feel incredibly lucky that all of our classrooms will remain cool, comfortable and welcoming. This investment will make a real difference to the wellbeing of both our children and staff, helping everyone to stay comfortable, focused and ready to learn.
We’re very pleased to be keeping our whole Alvey team cool! 💙

We’re delighted to share that Lincolnshire County Council has agreed to appoint a Lollipop Person outside William Alvey Primary School, helping to make crossing the road safer for our children💛
This is a Lincolnshire County Council position, not a school position, and applications are now open.
This is a role that we feel is incredibly important, and one we have worked hard to bring about. We’re now hoping to find the right person to take on this vital job and help keep our children safe.

- Open Evening Thursday 17th September 5pm

We’ve had a wonderful first day back at the Alvey! 🌟
It’s been brilliant to see all of the children back and settling in so happily. A huge thank you to all of our parents and carers for making the children look so smart. Their uniforms really do help them feel part of the best team! 💙
We even had a special visit from ‘Teddy’ in Reception as our youngest children met their Year 5 buddies. There have certainly been lots of smiles, excitement and happy faces today! 🧸😊

🌟 We can’t wait to welcome you this morning!

Our staff have been working hard to make sure everything is ready... the classrooms are calm and welcoming, the displays are waiting for some fantastic work, and the books are all neatly prepared. 📚✨
We’re so excited to see you all and begin a wonderful year together!

How many members of staff does it take to fill a bean bag?
Well… apparently quite a few!
Behind the laughs, though, is a team who are constantly working hard, pitching in, and going the extra mile to make everything happen.
A big thank you to our staff who have worked incredibly hard to ensure we have another excellent year with our Alvey families ❤️

This Throwback Thursday, we’re looking back on a very special Alvey Day at the end of last term.
We gathered at St Denys Church to celebrate Alvey Day, remember our founder and reflect on his vision for every child to flourish. We also celebrated our wonderful Year 6 children and all they achieved during their time at Alvey.
Our children were fantastic throughout the service, reading, singing and playing instruments with such confidence – they made us incredibly proud!
We can’t wait to have our wonderful Alvey community back together again next week and start another exciting year together! 🌟

Hello again!
We’ve purposely been a little quiet over the summer holidays, giving everyone the chance to switch off, enjoy some well-deserved time together and have a proper break.
But with just one week to go until the start of our new academic year, we couldn’t resist popping back on to say hello and give you a little sneak peek at some of the things we’ve been getting up to over the last few weeks!
We’ve been busy behind the scenes creating some exciting new spaces that we can’t wait for you all to see. We’re so excited to share the results and show you how we’re making The Alvey even more special for everyone.
And that’s not all… we’ve also got some exciting news to share that will make everyone much more comfortable whenever the temperature rises again.

☀️ That's a Wrap on Another Fantastic Year! ☀️
What an incredible year it's been at the Alvey! We are so proud of everything our pupils have achieved, from their hard work in the classroom to their sporting, creative and personal successes.
