Some of the activities the children have been involved with here at preschool.
The rainbow fish is favourite story at preschool so Karen created a fab tuff tray, lots of fun whilst building fine motor skills by using the pipettes. We love to cook and bake so a delicious pear bread was made with our left over pears.

Musical instruments
This morning we had a jam session. Cause and effect, learning about sound. Playing musical instruments helps children learn how sounds are made which helps to develop auditory perception which is crucial for pre-reading skills. So get your band together and rock 🎸

Savoury scones
Today we made some savoury scones for our snack, they were delicious. Some might see a big mess in one photo but we see exploration, experimentation, engagement and no expectations on what needs to be produced, allowing the children to express themselves.

Music and movement is really good for young children. This morning we played some music and let loose. Music and movement helps with physical development, cognitive growth, emotional well being, social skills and helps to build confidence. So dance like nobody is watching. 🕺💃🏻

Group painting
Painting helps children with their social skills? They learn to collaborate, share materials and communicate their ideas. By developing social skills children start to build relationships with their peers.
By painting, children engage in multiple senses including sight, touch and even smell. A sensory experience like painting is vital for brain development as it helps children to better understand their environment and enhancing their sensory processing skills. So get the paint brushes out 🎨
