β½π World Cup Fever Has Arrived! πβ½
A huge thank you to Mrs Owen for a brilliant World Cup assembly today! The children loved getting into the World Cup spirit.
The excitement continued with our World Cup sweepstake, where each class and staff were given a group to support.
There was lots of cheering, guessing, and excitement as groups were revealed!
Now itβs time for everyone to keep an eye on the matches and see how their group gets on. Good luck to all the classes and staff, we canβt wait to see who comes out on top! πβ½ππ

π° Year 6 had a brilliant day at Lincoln Castle as part of our History topic, Crime and Punishment!
The children explored the castle's Victorian prison and learned about the infamous Joseph Ralph, who amazingly escaped from prison nine times!
They also visited the Separate System Chapel, the only one of its kind in the world, where prisoners would attend services without seeing or speaking to each other.
It was a fantastic opportunity to bring our learning to life and discover what crime and punishment was really like in the past. A day full of fascinating facts, great questions and memorable experiences! ππ

Year 5 had a fantastic day at Lincoln Castle as part of their History topic on Crime and Punishment.
The children explored the castle walls, discovering the different punishments that were carried out there over the centuries. They visited the Georgian prison, toured the Victorian prison, and saw the world's only surviving 'separate system' prison chapel.
The children also took part in an exciting prison escape game, using clues and teamwork to solve challenges along the way. Throughout the day, they heard the stories of real prisoners, learning about the crimes they had committed and the punishments they received, which brought their classroom learning to life. The day was made even more memorable by meeting the castle dragons!
A wonderful opportunity to bring our learning to life and step back in time.ππ°

This week, the Year 6 pupils practised turning right safely during their cycle training sessions.
They worked on checking over their shoulder, signalling clearly, positioning correctly on the road, and completing right turns with confidence. Well done, Year 6! ππ΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈ
