Our Year 12 Music students have had a fantastic end to the term!
Over the past few days, they have been visiting a number of our feeder primary schools, sharing their talents through a series of live performances.
Their setlist featured crowd-pleasing classics including Don't Stop Believin', Black or White and We Will Rock You.

The performances finished with an energetic rendition of Shut Up and Dance, which had the primary school pupils singing, dancing and joining in with enthusiasm!

It was a fantastic way to round off the term, and our students thoroughly enjoyed inspiring the next generation of musicians. Well done to everyone involved!

What an unforgettable experience!

We are incredibly proud of Harmonious for their fantastic performance at the National Music for Youth Festival at the prestigious Symphony Hall, Birmingham.

The group delivered a wonderful programme featuring Defying Gravity, Always a Woman and Where is my Husband?
Performing on such an iconic stage was a tremendous achievement, and the performers represented themselves and our Academy with confidence, passion and musical excellence. Their hard work, dedication and commitment shone through.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the group on their journey, and congratulations to all of our performers for making this such a memorable occasion. We could not be prouder of what you have achieved!

A huge congratulations to our Year 13 students who successfully completed their qualifying Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition! Both groups demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination and resilience to complete 4 days walking and 4 nights camping in the especially hot weather we have recently experienced!

We are so proud of each and every participant, with many completing their Bronze and Silver awards in the past, showing great commitment to fully completing their Duke of Edinburgh awards over the past 4 years.

We wish our students every success in the future, and looking forward to seeing them receiving their Gold awards at Buckingham Palace soon.

The French department staff and students enjoyed an ice-cream after a visit to William Alvey Primary School supporting their year 5 French feast.

During the event they served food and played games with the children. One enterprising student couldn’t remember the French for “duck, duck, goose” so invented a new game of “poulet, poulet, jambon” which went down a treat! Thanks to Ms Fuller and the staff at William Alvey for inviting us.

Y5 Practical Masterclasses at St George's Academy.

It was a pleasure welcoming Year 5 students from local feeder schools to our campuses this week!

Students thoroughly enjoyed a variety of hands-on activities during their Practical Masterclasses. We look forward to seeing them all again in the future!

Year 7 have spent 2 weeks of science lessons researching how to supply water to the world for their STEM Water Project. Today they presented their solutions to staff and students. There were lots of excellent ideas and presentations. The proud winning team are in the photo below.
