This term students have been taking part in a number of activates in Science to promote STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Maths).

These include:
The Big Year 7 Science Project
Year 7 students at Sleaford (with Ruskington campus taking part in Term 6) worked with Anglian Water on an exciting science project. They were tasked with creating a poster and delivering a presentation to experts from Anglian Water, answering the question: “How can we provide water to the entire globe?”
Students worked on this throughout their science lessons and also received a special presentation from Anglian Water to support their research.

History A level students visit the battlefield at East Stoke

On Thursday 19 March, A level History students from St. George’s made an educational visit to the site of the battle of East Stoke just outside Newark. The purpose of this was to enrich our History students’ learning experience and develop their understanding by visiting a key local historical site linked to their A Level British depth study on the Wars of the Roses. Students had a guided walk of the battlefield by a local expert Andrew Fern as part of the Heritage Interpretation and Visitor Experience service at St Mary Magdalene Church, Newark.
It was a informative and sunny walk!
