Kip Sleaford is a safe space

If you’ve ever walked down Sleaford High Street at the end of the school day, you’ll know it’s busy and can be intimidating for students who are not used to it.

We’d like to remind our students - past and present (along with those who haven’t attended tuition with us before) that we are open Tuesday - Friday from 3.30 and that we are a safe space if you need some help.

If our lights and on and you need help, please feel free to come in and ask.

You might have missed your bus, or just want to get out of the way until town quietens down.

If there is a bigger problem and you need to contact parents, we have contact details of all students who have attended sessions with us. We also have a range of chargers that you can use if your phone is flat and you’re unable to contact them yourself.

Obviously, we can’t always be here, but if we are and we can help, we will. 😀

GCSEs can feel a long way off at the start of the school year, but Year 10 and Year 11 are such important years for building confidence, filling gaps and getting exam-ready.

📚 Is your child starting Year 5? Thinking about the Lincolnshire 11+?

If grammar school is something you’re considering, Year 5 is the perfect time to start preparing as it gives children plenty of time to build their skills, confidence and familiarity with the 11+ without feeling rushed.

But what actually is the Lincolnshire 11+? 🤔

Children sit two tests covering:

📝 Verbal Reasoning – including vocabulary, word relationships, codes, sequences, logic and problem-solving.

🔷 Non-Verbal & Spatial Reasoning – including patterns, shapes, rotations, reflections, sequences and spatial awareness.

For many children, these are completely new types of questions that they won’t regularly encounter at school. Learning the techniques and becoming familiar with the different question styles can make a huge difference.
