On Wednesday morning the Nields Academy School Choir lead by Mrs Bray went out into the community to sing for the residents of Meadow Court Care Home. The residents joined in with the children and thoroughly enjoyed listening to the choir. The choir look forward to going back again.

🌟Autumn Tours for Nursery and 2027 Reception Starters🌟
We’re delighted to invite prospective parents and carers to visit Nields Academy this autumn and discover why our early years provision is such a special place for young learners to begin their educational journey. We have the following dates and times available for prospective parents and carers to meet our Principal, Miss Mahon and tour the school:

Tuesday 22nd September – 10am
Wednesday 30th September – 5pm
Thursday 1st October – 10am
Tuesday 6th October – 4pm
Wednesday 7th October – 1.15pm
Tuesday 10th November – 1.15pm

Summer Fair 2026
We're getting ready for our upcoming summer fair and would be so grateful for any donations to help make it a fantastic day for everyone.

If you have any items you'd be happy to donate, please bring them in! We're looking for things like:
🧸 Toys
📚 Children's books
🎲 Board games and puzzles
🧩 Games and activities
🎁 Small gifts and unwanted presents
🎨 Craft items..and any other clean, complete items that could help raise funds.

We're also asking if every child could please bring in a chocolate bar for our popular Chocolate Tombola - 🍫 any size chocolate bar would be greatly appreciated!

Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference and help support our school. Thank you so much for your generosity and continued support

Fairy Tale Friday was well and truly embraced at Nields today. From Nursery to Year 6 there was a buzz of activity around traditional tales including: puppet making, story re-telling, drama and collaborative learning. Class 6 thoroughly enjoyed visiting EYFS and joining in with their tasks. They supported with reading, character understanding and writing tasks!

Well done to our fantastic Year 5 engineers representing Nields Academy at the Primary Engineers event held in Huddersfield.
They competed against many other schools, in pairs and two of our children came second overall - fantastic!
The judges awarded marks for:
1. the models ability to move forwards and backwards in a straight line
2. the models ability to tow three carriages
3. the actual designs.
The children also had to be interviewed about their models so they could talk about their designs and what they had accomplished.
