School’s back with a bang. Here are some super cute and smart ‘First Day of Reception’ faces (and a few Nursery faces joining for good measure!). It’s been a delight to welcome our new Reception class to St Stephen’s though there will be tired faces by Friday!
Hope all Reception families are excited by their ‘Chatterbags’ in which the children will help their friends learn all about each other through their important objects.

A busy day in school today getting ready to welcome everyone into school tomorrow. Staff training in the morning then lots of final little jobs making classrooms just right.
We did however make time to have lunch together as a whole team. A lovely opportunity to catch up on the holidays and to chat about the year ahead.
We are excited to see everyone in the morning. One more sleep!!🥰

The school has been a busy place this last week as we prepare it to welcome our students back after the holiday. Painting, window cleaning, extensive gardening and ground work, setting up the Y1/2 classroom … here’s how the KS1 playground is taking shape!
Looking forward to seeing everyone in their uniforms again on Tuesday morning.
Enjoy the last weekend!

Our final assembly of the school year: a celebration of the year whilst joining with our Year 6s for their final assembly of their primary school journey. We presented virtues certificates and sports awards and a very special football, we shared our final prayer of the school year together and then we were treated to an assortment of memories and future career aspirations by our Year 6 leavers. A lovely afternoon together with families and friends.
A final photo of the children in the Early Years setting before they move on to their new class in September.

A chilled afternoon for the end of term. Classes had parties, movies, craft activities, games, visits to the park and more. Busy working away in the background were two of our FOSS Mums…. Face painting almost an entire school of children! It was too warm at the school disco last week and they didn’t want the children to miss out! Kind, caring and committed. Thanks FOSS!❤️

Really proud of our young performers today in the annual St Stephen’s Got Talent show. And do we ever have talent? Yes we do!! Also bravery and courage in abundance! Getting up on stage, not in a show but as a solo performer or in a group of 2 or 3 is no mean feat!
We were treated to dances and singing to ABBA, Willie Wonka and Michael Jackson, magic performers, joke telling, a racing Rubik’s cube challenge, gymnastics and more.
Great job to all the performers! The audience were spellbound! 🎼🎤🎸👩‍🎤💃

End of year School Disco! Fabulous dancing, fun times with friends, extra ice pops and brilliant parent helpers (as always). Hydration breaks were essential and did not stop the flow of the dancing in any way!
Thanks FOSS and teachers for another wonderful event!😍
