Just to remind parents/carers, The Skipton Academy has a training day on Friday 3rd July so it is closed to students. School will re-open as normal on Monday 6th July.

Due to high temperatures this week, students may attend school in their approved academy PE kit to stay comfortable and focused on learning.

✅ Plain navy items only (academy logo where required)
✅ Black trainers/shoes
🚫 No casual or non-uniform sportswear

Please remember:

🎒 Come fully equipped for learning

We had a fantastic morning yesterday saying goodbye to our Class of 2026. They have worked incredibly hard during their examinations and have seen the school grow from strength to strength.

They have been a brilliant year group and truly embodied our school ethos over the past five years! We are hopeful their results will demonstrate this in August!

We wish them all the very best for the future and look forward to continuing to celebrate with them at prom soon.

The morning concluded with Otis finally receiving his promised reward from Mr Cook for achieving 100% attendance over the last two years!

Our staff and students have been busy over the last few weeks creating this incredible sculpture in recognition of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday.

Over 40 hours of work have gone into bringing this chimpanzee to life, one of the first animals Sir David was captured on screen with. The model is covered with butterflies, created by students and staff from across the school, containing messages and artwork celebrating his 100th birthday.

We’re extremely proud of the creativity, dedication and teamwork that made this project possible! A special thank you to Arlo, Edwin, Ned and Miss Bridges for your hard work!
