It's today 🧩 So GCHQ and Made By Dyslexia have teamed up to create a 'secret' puzzle to celebrate! Can you solve it? πŸ”

84% of dyslexics have higher than average reasoning skills - making us brilliant at solving puzzles.

Our ability to see the bigger picture and spot patterns that others miss makes us brilliant spies, too! So it's no wonder that our skills are viewed as 'mission critical' by GCHQ.

And it's not just the intelligence service that values - research from the WEF and the world's largest recruitment company finds that complex problem solving is the number one most sought after skill in our changing world of work. So every workplace can benefit from those who think differently.

Keep an eye out for the answers! πŸ‘€ We'll be revealing them in the comments later today!

Brilliant from incredible Prof. Stephen Hawking.

His dyslexic mind didn't conform to the narrow confines of the classroom - but helped him think in an entirely different dimension. And though he was labelled 'lazy' at school, his tireless curiosity led him to discover more about our universe than we have ever known before 🌎

Did you know... you can often spot dyslexics in the workplace (and in the classroom) by their strengths and challenges.

We often score very high in some things ⬆️ (often in the top percentile) and very low in others ⬇️ (often in the bottom percentile). This is known as a 'spiky profile'. πŸ“ˆ

For example:
😊 71% of dyslexics are great at communicating (verbal reasoning) - but 89% are poor spellers (working memory)
πŸ”Ž 8 out of 10 dyslexics are above average at lateral thinking (questioning), but 9 in 10 struggle getting thoughts on paper (organisation).

But, in our new AI-driven world, technology can help mitigate our challenges and our strengths are now the most valuable skills to every employer, across the world.

Our Intelligence 5.0 report finds that dyslexics have the intelligence the world now needs...

BUT

It also finds that outdated views on intelligence remain.

There's an urgent need to teach the world the brilliance of Dyslexic Thinking and create environments in schools and workplaces to empower and support it.
