Do you know someone heading to Year 7 of Skipton Girls' High School or Ermysted's Grammar School this September?

We have had quite a few families in looking for books on the Years 7 reading lists, so we have created a lovely display of various books which feature on the lists. Numerous copies of some of the books available, so hopefully plenty to go round 😀

Drop in to borrow and get prepared for the big transition to secondary school!

… and with that the 25/26 academic year is over!

More on my reflections on this year next week, but FIRST another of my beautiful friends is having her hen do this weekend. So onwards to celebrate!

One of the things I absolutely ADORE about tutoring, and something I really didn’t see coming, is the relationships I’ve developed with parents and students alike. They are on another level compared to the ones I had when teaching (although some of those were very special too!).

A lovely example of this is when my work life flows seamlessly into my home life. Here’s a picture of my eldest Moon boy enjoying a magazine recommended to him by a home-ed student of mine. It became very loved, very quickly, with both Moon boys enjoying it thoroughly!

We can’t wait for this week’s edition to land through our door, it’s @ and it’s genuinely super enjoyable, even for adults. I can’t recommend it enough.

PS I was playing at a rounders tournament and spotted a boy wearing a T-shirt with one of the main characters from the comic on it. I ended up chatting to him for a while about the amazing Phoenix Comic… and I definitely felt like a very cool mum in that moment!

PSS Ignore the washing basket , it seems to be a constant (and unwanted) house guest in this house!
