BridgeHill Day Service We are committed to providing a safe, fun environment where members can learn healthy living and life skills.

We will help members develop a healthy lifestyle through life skills, sports exercise and creative art. We are based in Skelton Youth and Community Centre, this gives our service users contact with the local community using the centre to develop social skills. Our location lets us take advantage of the beautiful East Cleveland countryside to enjoy local walks. Local shops are 5 minutes away allowing us to take advantage to manage money and complete shopping tasks.

🍝 Independent Skills at BridgeHill! 🛒👨‍🍳

We planned a meal using the Smart Board, researching different meal ideas before deciding on a delicious favourite: pasta and meatballs!

We also did a little food history research and discovered that, while meatballs have Italian roots, spaghetti and meatballs as we know them today developed among Italians in America 🇮🇹🇺🇸

We then created our shopping list, headed out to buy the ingredients and put our cooking skills into practice. Everyone worked together to prepare and cook enough pasta and meatballs for 10 people! 🙌

💷 Total shopping cost: £9.30
🍽️ 10 people fed
💰 That’s just 93p per person!

🍽️ Independent Skills at BridgeHill! 🛒

On Monday, we put our independent living skills into practice by planning, shopping for and cooking mince and dumplings. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

We started by creating our own shopping list, then headed out to purchase all the ingredients we needed. Once back at BridgeHill, everyone got involved in preparing and cooking the meal.

A fantastic opportunity to practise planning, budgeting, shopping, food preparation, cooking and teamwork while creating a delicious meal to enjoy together! 😋👏

Another great day of building confidence and developing those all-important everyday skills. 💪✨

🎉 WE’RE BACK TOMORROW! 🎉

After a lovely summer break, we’re excited to welcome everyone back to BridgeHill Day Service tomorrow! 🧡

Both our Middlesbrough and Skelton sites are reopening, and we’ve got plenty to look forward to! 🙌🏼

Before the break, we packed in so many brilliant days out, activities, laughs and new experiences. From getting creative 🎨 and cooking up a storm 👩🏼‍🍳, to keeping active 🏃🏼‍♀️, enjoying trips out 🚐 and simply spending time together, there’s always something going on at BridgeHill!
