What a fantastic way to round off our Summer Club! ☀️💙
Over the past two weeks, our children have enjoyed an action-packed programme filled with fun, friendship and plenty of laughter. From bowling, hall games, dodgeball, pool and Connect 4 competitions to talent shows, arts and crafts, paper boats, aeroplanes, masks and so much more, there has been something for everyone to enjoy.
We were also incredibly lucky with the brilliant sunshine, making it the perfect opportunity to spend time outdoors, play together and create lasting memories.
Most importantly, Summer Club has been a chance for the children to relax, have fun and enjoy time with their friends in a safe, happy and caring environment.
A huge thank you to all of the staff who made the last two weeks so enjoyable and to our wonderful children for bringing so much enthusiasm, creativity and smiles each day. We hope you’ve all had as much fun as we have! 🌞🎨⚽🎭

What a way to end the school year! 🎉💙
Today we’ve celebrated all things attendance, winning house-teams (Arrowsmith!), achievement superstars, St John’s values role-models and, of course, our wonderful Year 6 children as they prepare for their next adventure.

💙 A Wonderful Act of Kindness at St John’s 💙
Today we were incredibly proud to see one of our Year 5 pupils, Annett, demonstrate what it truly means to ‘Live in Love’.
Wanting to wish our Year 6 children every success as they prepare for their next adventure, Annett kindly created a beautiful ‘Thank you’ banner for them. Such a thoughtful gesture reflects the kindness, care and encouragement that make our St John’s family so special.
As Headteacher, these are the moments that make you realise your school values are not just words on a wall, but values that are truly lived every day. When children choose to show kindness, think of others and celebrate each other’s successes, you know they are growing into compassionate young people.
Thank you, Annette, for reminding us all that even the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference. You have shown exactly what it means to Live in Love. 💙✨

Today we celebrated a very special milestone as our Nursery children graduated in preparation for their move to Reception in September.
We are so proud of how much they have grown in confidence, independence and curiosity throughout the year. It has been a joy to watch them learn, play and flourish, and we know they are more than ready for their next exciting adventure.
A special thank you goes to **Miss Bainbridge**, who has led and nurtured our Nursery children with such care and dedication. As she relocates to a new area, we wish her every happiness and success in the future. She will be greatly missed by our children, families and staff.
Well done to all of our amazing children, and thank you to our families for your continued support. We can’t wait to see you shine in Reception! 💙🌟

Our wonderful Reception children invited their families in this morning for a stay and read session.
They had a great time showing them their favourite books and playing phonics games to show off their reading skills at the end of the year.

What a fantastic way to celebrate our amazing year 6 children! 🎭
Their leavers’ production ’Willy Walker and the Skelmersdale Snack Factory’ was full of laughter, talent and unforgettable performances. We are incredibly proud of every child for the confidence, teamwork and enthusiasm they showed on stage.
Following the performance, we enjoyed a special presentation as we celebrated their time at St John’s and wished them every success for the future.
Thank you to our wonderful staff for all their hard work making the production so special and to our parents and carers for your continued support throughout your children’s journey with us. We know our year 6 children will go on to achieve great things and they will always remain part of the St John’s family 💙
