Another wonderful summer run today. It was so nice to see pupils, parents and even ex-pupils involved. The Skelmersdale Junior parkrun is such a great, family-friendly event that anyone at any ability can get involved with. Well done to all involved today. 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼💨

So proud of what our pupils did for this!

It might not have come home (🥲) but one thing that did was the brilliant lesson of unity children observed during the tournament!

Ending the year, schools joined our World Cup Primary Party to reflect on lessons from key match moments - from England players and fans singing Wonderwall together, to Japanese fans cleaning up the stadium. 🎶🧹

Together we discussed what football teaches us, with help from our special guest schools:

Crawford Village Primary School, Heswall Primary School, Thackley Primary School, Rampton Primary School, Tranmere Park Primary School & Castlewood Primary School!

They told us football helps everyone to: “be part of a community”, “respect each other”, and “build our confidence”...

A pupil at Tranmere Park Primary School said that, to be a good teammate on and off the pitch, we should be “kind and cheer others on”.

The assembly ultimately highlighted what football is all about: its wonderful ability to bring people together. 💚

More running in the sun this morning. We had a 1st place finisher and another pupil getting a special wristband for running the equivalent of a marathon - she's now completed 22 park runs. Hopefully will see more and more of these achievements each week. 🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️

What a wonderful day of celebration. Today we said goodbye to our amazing Year 6 pupils. They have grown and achieved so much in their time here; we are so proud of the incredible people that they are and we will miss them deeply. We want to thank Year 6 and their families for all the effort and support they have given us over the years. We hope you all have an amazing summer before your new adventure 🥳

And they’re finished. Class three loved adding the final details onto their soft toys today. We’ve cut, blanket stitched, running stitched, stuffed and glued to our hearts content. I’m sure you will agree with just how amazing they all look.

How lovely it was to see so many pupils and parents at our inaugural Park Run event. It was a great event to be a part of. I am so proud of all the children (and parents!) who took part today. Hopefully we will see more and more of you at the event each week. parkrun

What a wonderful treat. Thank you so much to the PTA (Friends of Crawford Village) for sending each child and member of staff an ice cream. They were delicious and greatly appreciated on a sunny Friday afternoon 🍦

What a wonderful afternoon we have had here. We all came together in the lovely weather today to host our class parties outside. Children had fun playing games and dancing, led by our amazing Year 6 pupils who kept everyone thoroughly entertained. After a break for snacks the party continued afterschool with the PTA; with more games, ice-lollies and a splashtastic water fight to finish. Thank you to all the staff that helped and to the PTA for the lollies and water pistols!

We had a delicious morning in Maple Class. The children worked together brilliantly to make chocolate chip cookies and thoroughly enjoyed eating them. Well done Maple Class. A super start! We can’t wait for September!
