1st Day of holiday club we have been making masks.

Working together to build a wall. They collected dry sand in buckets and mixed it with water. We counted out the bricks and talked about where to build the wall. Taking it in turns to fetch the mortar mixture and lay the bricks.
They are quite proud of what was created.

SUMMER SAFETY

Just a reminder about keeping the children safe in the summer.
The government gives the following actions to protect yourself from the sun:

Stay in the shade, between 11am and 3pm when the sun is strongest.
- We close our doors to the garden between these times if we feel it is too sunny. We have purchased a larger event shelter (4.5m) to give more shade

Wear lightweight, loose-fitting, light-coloured clothes, such as a long-sleeved shirt, trousers, wear a wide-brimmed hat to protect your face, eyes, head, ears, and neck.
- We have a supply of hats in case your child's hat is forgotten or lost

Apply sunscreen generously and re-apply frequently, especially after activities that remove it, such as swimming or towelling. The NHS recommends that this should be with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30, and 4 or 5 star ultraviolet A (UVA) protection. -We ask you apply sunscreen to your child before they arrive and we will top up as necessary throughout the day
