The Lisa Jay Stage Institute Announces Shrek The Musical JR. at the Embassy Theatre, Skegness
Skegness, Lincolnshire — August 2026 — The Lisa Jay Stage Institute is delighted to announce its latest major production, Shrek The Musical JR., coming to the iconic Embassy Theatre on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th November 2026.
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and the Broadway and West End musical, Shrek The Musical JR. brings the much-loved characters of Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and Lord Farquaad to life in a hilarious and heart-warming stage adventure.
Audiences can expect big songs, colourful characters, plenty of laughs and a powerful message about friendship, acceptance and being proud of who you are.
The production will showcase the talent, dedication and creativity of performers from The Lisa Jay Stage Institute, providing young performers with the opportunity to develop their confidence and performance skills while taking to the stage of one of Skegness's best-known theatres.
“We are incredibly excited to bring Shrek The Musical JR. to the Embassy Theatre,” said Lisa Jay, founder of The Lisa Jay Stage Institute. “It is such a fun, energetic and uplifting show, and our performers are working incredibly hard to make this a production that audiences will remember. We can't wait to see the curtain go up and share the magic of live theatre with everyone.”
