For over 30 years we have offered a safe and secure environment where children between two years old and school age can have fun while they learn through play. We have a very experienced, highly qualified and professional team that will ensure that the children attending our preschool will have a lot of fun, learning and get the best possible care. St Peter’s Playgroup was formed in 1983 by a grou
p of parents from the parish of the Church of the Sacred Heart, Sittingbourne. It was established in response to the needs of the parents and the local community with support from the management of St Peter’s primary school who were at that time unable to set up a facility at their own premises. Over the years playgroup has evolved into a successful nursery offering a valued service to the whole community. There is no formal link with either the parish or St Peter’s school but a good informal relationship exists with both and with other primary schools in the Sittingbourne area. The success of the play group has been enabling children to learn and develop whilst having fun. St Peter’s Playgroup welcomes all and has the proud record of never having refused a child for any reason. The playgroup has a high staff ratio to children (3 to 1) and concentrates on helping children to become confident by developing social and academic skills whilst enjoying themselves.
