Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the hot weather, we kindly ask that you send your child with a spare change of clothing each day, as we will be providing plenty of water play activities to help keep the children cool and comfortable.

We are taking precautions to keep everyone safe during the extreme temperatures. Children will remain indoors as much as possible; however, indoor temperatures are also expected to be very warm. If you feel it is best for your child to remain at home during this period, we would appreciate your decision.

For the safety and wellbeing of all children, our sponsored walk has been postponed, as it is not safe to hold the event either indoors or outdoors in the current weather conditions.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

What a wonderful term 5 we have had! 🐾🌿📚

Our topic this term was animals and our story of the term was The Gruffalo. The children loved making their own Gruffalo crumble and we hope you enjoyed sharing it together at home!

We also had a very exciting visitor from Creepy claws. The children were so brave and enjoyed holding and stroking some amazing animals including a snake, hedgehog, bearded dragon, tarantula and even a scorpion! 🐍🦔

The fun continued with lots of creative activities such as making animal masks and paper chain snakes.

Monster trucks became a big interest for some of the children, so together we designed and built a monster truck ramp using plaster of Paris!🛻

We have also enjoyed lovely walks around the village, visits to the park and spending time caring for our allotment boxes in the garden. The children have been helping to water them every day and we are hoping to have some vegetables ready to pick in July! 🧑‍🌾🌱

We are so proud of all the children and everything they have achieved this term.💛
Let’s hope the lovely weather continues into Term 6.

What a busy and egg-citing end to term 4 we’ve had at Tinkerbells! 🐣✨

We loved welcoming our families in for our “Stay and Play” session. It was so special to see parents and children playing, exploring, and enjoying our daily routines together – lots of smiles all around!

The children have particularly enjoyed our post office role play area. They had great fun extending their learning by creating their own post box and post van, which really supported their imaginative play and communication skills.

To finish the term, we hopped straight into Easter fun! 🐰💛
The children enjoyed decorating eggs, getting busy making yummy chocolate Easter nest cakes, and exploring our tuff tray where they helped the chicks hunt for hidden eggs.

And the biggest surprise of all… we had a very special visit from the Easter Bunny! The children were so excited – it was the perfect way to end a wonderful term.
