Today we supported Comic relief by holding a Pajamas day. The children also decorated cupcakes and had a red themed snack.

**🌈 Celebrating St. Patrick's Day / Green Day in Our Nursery! 🍀**

Today, we embraced the festive spirit of St. Patrick's Day with a colorful "Green Day" celebration! The children had so much fun exploring creativity, engaging in science, trying new snacks, and coming together to celebrate this special day.

**Creative Fun:**
We got crafty by making shamrocks using paper plates and green paint! The children enjoyed brushing and dabbing the paint to bring their shamrocks to life, developing their fine motor skills along the way. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they proudly displayed their creations.

**Exciting Science Experiment:**
Our little scientists were amazed by our "green cauldron" experiment! Using baking soda, vinegar, green food coloring, and glitter, the children created an exciting fizzy reaction. Each child used a pipette to carefully add vinegar to the mixture, watching as the cauldron bubbled and sparkled. This activity not only brought awe and wonder but also helped develop hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

**Healthy Green Snacks:**
Snack time was a delicious affair as we enjoyed a green feast of apples, grapes, peas, cucumbers, peppers, and kiwis. The variety of textures and flavors was a hit, and it encouraged the children to try something new. What a tasty way to promote healthy eating!

**Wearing Green:**
The nursery was a sea of green as the children came dressed in their vibrant green clothes. This added to the festive atmosphere and helped everyone feel connected and involved in the celebration.

We love how these themed days give us the chance to blend fun, learning, and exploration into memorable experiences for the children. A big thank you to our families for helping to make this day so special! 💚

Handa is ready with her basket of fruit for the children to taste at snack

Don't forget tomorrow is WORLD BOOK DAY. children are able to come into Nursery dressed in a costume of thier choice. We have costumes available for the children to choose if they would prefer.

Our theme this year is Handas surprise and we will be tasting some of Handas fruits for snack.

Thankyou to all our families we raised £10 for the NSPCC today with our number day. Our children dressed up in numbered clothes and we had a great effort from those who made thier own tshirts and those who managed to find clothes with numbers printed on. We had a number themed snack and table cloth. We counted out our orange segments to see whose orange had the most and least. We played number board games and did a few number puzzles. We also manipulated, chopped and cut numbers with our playdough using various tools and methods.

Please can we remind parents to regularly check their personal Childcare choices accounts for the code expired dates. We are unable to accept codes after the cut off date. The next cut off date is March 31st. Please DO NOT leave it until this date to renew as processing times can vary.

If you think your child is eligible for either of the working parents funding -
2yr olds up to 15 hrs.
3/4yr olds up to 30 hrs funding per week. Please speak to a member of staff.

This is different to the universal 3yr funding for ALL 3 year olds the term after their 3rd birthday.
