On Monday night, Year 5 were given an incredible opportunity to perform scenes from Shakespeare’s King Lear on the Marlowe Theatre stage in front of hundreds of people. Over the past few months, the children have shown outstanding commitment, learning their lines, developing their characters and working together to shape the performance. They used their creativity to re-imagine the play within a modern skate park setting, bringing a fresh and engaging twist to a classic text. Alongside this, they explored songs and deepened their understanding of the characters to truly bring them to life.
Their performance was phenomenal – they absolutely smashed it! We are beyond proud of every single child and the effort, resilience and teamwork they demonstrated throughout this journey. A massive well done to all the children involved – what an incredible achievement!

We are proud to share that our school has achieved the Platinum School Games Mark, recognising our ongoing commitment to high‑quality sport and physical activity.

This award reflects the hard work of our staff, pupils and wider community in promoting participation, competition and healthy lifestyles. Thank you for your continued support.

We are so excited to be developing our very own Forest School area, creating new opportunities for outdoor learning, exploration, and creativity for our children 🌳🍃

A huge thank you to Jewson for their incredibly generous donation of bricks, pipes, and other materials. Their support is helping us bring this space to life and will make a real difference to our school community 💛

This new area will allow our children to learn in a different way—building confidence, working together, and connecting with the outdoors. We can’t wait to see it grow and to share it with you!

We are so proud to share our brand-new Reading House, created especially for our KS1 children to enjoy a book at lunchtime 📖💛

With the support of our wonderful Year 6 helpers, our younger children now have a cosy, welcoming space to read, relax and share stories together—and they absolutely love it!

A huge thank you to Jewson for kindly donating the wood to help make this possible. Your support has made a real difference to our playground and to the reading experiences of our children 🌟
