A massive thank you to the PTFA, staff and volunteers who organised a fantastic Summer Sizzler for our children. They had so much fun dancing, decorating a pebble, playing fete games and eating a rocket lolly whilst watching a short film. They had a ball! Our Community Multi-Academy Trust - OCMAT

Year 2 had a wonderful time working with the talented visual artist, Liz Atkin, during our exciting charcoal sketching workshops inspired by the coast. This was kindly funded by the PTFA.

In the first session, Liz introduced the children to a range of charcoal techniques, helping them to explore texture, tone and mark-making. Drawing inspiration from the sea and beach landscapes, shells, seaweed and other coastal treasures, the children developed their skills and confidence as artists.

They then used these techniques to create both their own individual charcoal artwork and a stunning collaborative piece as a whole year group. We were incredibly proud of their creativity, enthusiasm and the beautiful work they produced.

A huge thank you to Liz for delivering such inspiring workshops. She was excellent, and the children thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

Year One had a fruit-tastic day at Brogdale. Everyone explored the orchards, found mini beasts and created clay models, went pond dipping and the highlight of the day was a ride on the tractor into the cherry orchards Our Community Multi-Academy Trust - OCMAT

Butterflies class enjoyed a virtual reality ocean experience. Wearing headsets, they were able to journey beneath the waves and learn about jellyfish and whale sharks in their natural environment.
