We've had a busy start to the academic year with 4 new tutors and 45 new students to join those who stayed on with us from last year. We're so proud of what the students have achieved so far - overcoming nerves about starting somewhere new, working hard and taking steps to improve their outcomes.

Please feel free to share our availability with friends who may be thinking of getting a face to face tutor.

Celebrating the small wins with a brilliant moment from last night's after-school tuition. This fantastic student was completing a reading comprehension and had a momentary mind blank on how to spell the word 'key'. We linked it to the words 'donkey' and 'monkey' and he absent-mindedly said these magic words to himself while writing it in:

Ahh, that makes sense.

Honestly, this is why we do what we do and it's so wonderful to hear that it's working! I snapped a quick pic just after the moment and it was my student's idea to pop a speech bubble on the picture for social media so here it is!

What a great start to the week.
