You know what nervous system regulation means.

But does your client?

One of the biggest mistakes I see therapists make with their content is using the language they learnt during their training rather than the language their clients actually use.

Your client probably isn’t thinking:

“I need to regulate my nervous system.”

She’s thinking:

“I can’t switch off.”

“I feel on edge all the time.”

“I’m exhausted but my brain won’t stop.”

“Everything feels too much at the moment.”

“I just want to feel calmer.”

“I don’t feel like myself lately.”

That’s the language to use in your content.

Whether you’re a massage therapist, reflexologist, aromatherapist or holistic therapist, your potential clients need to recognise themselves in what you’re saying.

You don’t need to sound more knowledgeable.

You need to make her think:

“Oh my goodness… that’s exactly how I feel.”

That’s connection.

And connection builds trust.

If you’re a female holistic therapist who wants more confidence with visibility, social media, attracting clients and talking about your therapy business, that’s exactly what I help with.

Follow along…we’ll make showing up for your business feel a whole lot less scary

If you’re new here, hello I’m Mandy.

I’ve spent over 30 years in the complementary therapy world as a therapist, educator and business owner, including 12 years running my own therapy training school.

More recently, I qualified as a Women’s Therapeutic Life Coach and it felt like my two worlds finally came together.

Now I support female practitioners to build the confidence and self-belief to be seen, talk about what they do and grow a business they’re proud of.

I’m a big believer in women supporting women…there’s something pretty special about that energy.

Away from work, I’m married, mum to two grown-up children, black Lab mum to Bosco and a lover of dog walks, music, good food and wine.

If you’re building your confidence alongside your business, I think you’ll feel at home here 🫶

“I can fit you in at lunchtime.”
said the massage therapist who now doesn’t have a lunchtime. 😆

You blocked the time out.
You planned to eat.
Maybe even sit down with a cuppa.

Then the message arrives…

“Any chance you’ve got something around lunchtime?”

And suddenly you’re thinking:

I could eat quickly.
I don’t want to lose the booking.
I can squeeze them in…

Here’s your reminder:

A break in your diary isn’t an available appointment.

Your client’s time matters.
But your time matters too.

A sustainable massage business needs to look after you the therapist as well as the client.

If you’re a massage therapist learning to build a business without running yourself into the ground, stick around …we talk about the bits of therapist life nobody warns you about. 😆

I know why we do it.

I’ll just finish this bit…

They’re really tight here…

They’ve had such a stressful week…

And before you know it, your 60-minute massage is creeping towards 75.

But finishing on time isn’t rushing your client or giving them less care.

It’s a BOUNDRY

And boundaries are good for you and your client.

Because while you might think you’re being generous by giving them extra time, they may actually need to leave on time too.

Childcare. A meeting. Parking. Another appointment. Or simply plans for the rest of their day.

And then there’s your time.

Ten or fifteen minutes might not feel like much.

But add that onto several clients a week and suddenly you’re giving away hours of your time each month….for free.

Your time is part of what your client is paying for.

If they’ve booked and paid for 60 minutes, you don’t need to give 75 to prove you’re a good massage therapist.

Good boundaries protect your time, energy and income …and help you run a massage business that actually works for you.

So if you regularly hear yourself saying, “I’ll just do another five minutes…”, perhaps ask yourself this…

What makes finishing on time feel uncomfortable?

Being generous may feel lovely.

But you’re running a business too.

Be honest… how many “extra 10 minutes” have you given away this week? 😆

I teach women how to handle change. Then life handed me a whole lot of it.

And I can tell you, knowing the tools doesn’t mean you suddenly become brilliant at change.

I’ve navigated the kind of change you never choose ….bereavement and learning how to live with someone you love no longer being here.

That’s bloody hard.

I’ve changed direction in business, stepped away from things that had been a huge part of my identity and wondered more than once, what on earth am I doing?

And most recently, I’m moving house.

A decision I’m happy about… but one that has unsettled me far more than I expected.

Because that’s the thing about change.

You can want it and still feel sad about what you’re leaving behind.

You can know it’s the right decision and still question it.

You can be excited about what’s next and still have days when you’d quite like everything to stay exactly as it is, thank you very much.

Therapeutic coaching hasn’t made me immune to any of that.

But it HAS helped me understand what’s happening when I wobble. To be kinder to myself. To recognise when fear is getting loud. And to keep moving forward without needing to feel 100% ready first.

I use these tools in my own life.

Not because I have everything sorted.

But because I don’t.

And I think that matters when I sit opposite another woman who’s trying to find her way through change too.

If life feels a little wobbly for you at the moment, you’re very welcome here. 🤍

When you’re building your massage therapy business, it can feel really hard to turn a client away.

Especially when you’re newly qualified and every booking feels important.

But not every booking is a good booking.

If a message makes you uncomfortable, someone pushes your boundaries, asks inappropriate questions or something simply feels a bit… off, you are allowed to say NO.

You don’t need to be rude.
You don’t need a huge explanation.
And you definitely don’t need to ignore your instincts because you’re worried about losing a client.

Having clear policies, professional boundaries and a simple booking process doesn’t make you difficult.

It makes you a confident business owner.

And if you’re still finding your feet as a holistic therapist and want support building the confidence to show up, set boundaries and actually grow the business you trained so hard for…

Follow me…this is exactly what we talk about here 🫶

Friend to friend… I get nervous too.

I overthink.

I wonder what people will think.

I have moments when staying safely in my comfort zone feels very tempting.

The difference now?

I don’t wait for the nerves to disappear before I do the thing.

I’ve learnt that nervous doesn’t always mean stop.

Sometimes it just means this matters to me.

So if you’re building something you care about and feeling nervous about being seen, you’re in good company.

Follow along. We can be nervous and do it anyway.

Nervous but Ready

Here are 5 reasons it keeps showing up:

1. Fear of failure
Your brain would rather keep you “safe” than risk you feeling embarrassed. Thanks for your concern, brain… but I’ve got clients to help.

2. Comparison
You’re comparing your Chapter 1 to someone else’s Chapter 20. Social media is a highlight reel, not the full story.

3. Old beliefs
“I’m not good enough.”
“I’ve got nothing interesting to say.”
Those thoughts may be familiar, but that doesn’t make them true.

4. You forget how far you’ve come
You notice everything you haven’t achieved yet and completely overlook everything you’ve already done. Give yourself some credit….you’ve come a long way.

5. You think you should have it all figured out
Who decided that? Building a business is messy. Learning, wobbling, changing your mind and growing are all part of the process.

Self-doubt doesn’t mean you stop.

It means you keep showing up anyway.

Believe • Show • Grow.

👇 Which one catches you out the most? 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5?

Follow for more gentle guidance and support.

Helping female holistic therapists overcome self-doubt, fizz with confidence, get visible on social media and grow a beautiful authentic business 🔥

22/07/2026

You didn’t become a holistic therapist because you wanted to become a marketing expert.

You qualified because you genuinely wanted to help people.

But somewhere between gaining yiu r qualification and starting your business, self-doubt crept in.

You find yourself overthinking every social media post, worrying what people will think, questioning whether you’re good enough, and wondering why your diary is still filled with family and friends instead of paying clients.

I’ve seen this time and time again after more than 30 years as a therapist and educator.

The problem isn’t that you’re not a good therapist.

The problem is that no one teaches you how to build the confidence to be visible, trust yourself, and grow a business that feels authentic.

That’s why I’m here.

I help female holistic therapists overcome fear, imposter syndrome and the mindset blocks that keep them hiding, so they can confidently attract clients, show up online and build a business they love.

If you’re ready to stop hiding and start thriving, you’re in the right place.

✨ Follow me for practical confidence tips, visibility strategies, mindset shifts and honest support to help you grow your therapy business, without pretending to be someone you’re not.
