I can hardly believe I’m writing that we will be celebrating TEN years of Bloom this half term. It was October 2016 when Bloom kicked off with canvas painting at the Wightman Theatre. Bloom remained on the road for two years until we found our permanent residence at the studio in Coleham. We’ve weathered many storms but managed to keep going and keep the arty ship afloat.
Join us for some canvas painting sessions over half term as we wind back the clock and celebrate 10 years of Blooming Art and Creativity.

A Blooming bouncing with energy party 🥳
Some jolly pictures from a recent party in the studio.
Gorgeous sunny Fern had a blast painting to music. A lovely sight when musical chairs was won by the Birthday herself, lifted and paraded around by her friends. 🎶 🎨
Paint, Pizza and lots of dancing and party games. ✨💛🎨

Introducing Anne to our Bloom team 💗
From November Anne will be picking up the Saturday morning class and taking it forwards.

The classes will resume as a weekly bookable drop off but this time from age 5 upwards.
Anne currently teaches full time and has plenty of experience with younger children.

Anne is also a member of the fabulous The Belle Vue Arts Festival so she’ll be happy putting her brushes to good use in the studio.

We’re really looking forward to resurrecting this class and bringing the sparkle back to Saturday mornings.

Wallop! 💥👊🏼 Heres how things are shaping up so far this week!
New school year, new groups and new fresh faces.
Liz is looking at the work of Nicola McBride with the Big Bloomers.
Sketchercise made a start deconstructing statues ready to collage.
Focus Group Intermediates are creating infinity nets around their submerged flowers as we pay homage to Yayoi Kusama.
This evening I welcomed our new seniors. A fabulous group who did a great job looking at light, reflection and distortion.
Blooming marvellous 🤩

We’re back in the studio 🙌🏼 It’s Monday so that means it’s Big Bloomers with Liz ✨💛
Liz already has a fabulous group but we have a smashing big, bright studio and would love few more Bloomers to join us on a Monday evening.
If you are looking for art classes for your child we have availability in our Monday Tuesday and Wednesday groups.

There is no end to our Liz’s talents 🤩
It comes from a long line of creative Mellors! 😄🙌🏼💪🏼
The most beautiful day to showcase Belle Vue Arts Festival open gardens and Lizzistration very own home and work space complete with new studio built by her brother, Simon Mellor.
A magnificent team pulling together refreshments and a wonderful spread!
We had to go along to join in and celebrate 🧡💚🍾🥂

What a fabulous weekend to start ‘let’s celebrate’ in Belle Vue Arts Festival
The weather wasn’t as bad as predicted so we had plenty of visitors and willing participants in the studio.
This year some of the Bloomers were in the driving seat operating their own activities 🤩
We had a fabulous time and it was all rounded off nicely with a surrealism adult drawing class led by James Millichamp during the evening.
Big thanks to all the girls involved, Jo Aspinall Lizzistration, and James. 🫶🏼❤️🎨
