What a wonderful morning we’ve had at Arscott Farm!

We started our morning with some strawberry picking, searching carefully for the ripest strawberries. 🍓
The children quickly learnt that the really deep red ones were the ones we wanted, while the white ones were still growing and needed a little more time. They loved hunting through the plants to find the perfect ones!

Then it was time for sunflower picking! 🌻 There were so many different varieties to choose from, tiny ones, big ones, huge ones and even some with smiley faces! 😍 The children each chose their favourite sunflower to take home.

A morning full of fresh air, exploring, learning and plenty of smiles. 💛🌻🍓❤️

Today we had the loveliest day at Home Farm 🐷🐐🐑🐴💚

As well as getting to see and feed all of our favourite animals and having plenty of fun on the park (as we do every time we visit! 😍), we were extra lucky to meet Jake Evans Storyteller! 📚✨

Jake shared 5 different stories with us, making each one fun, interactive and full of imagination. The children absolutely loved joining in, listening and getting involved, and so did we! 🥰

🌳✨ What a fantastic day celebrating our school leavers at Bewilderwood! 💚

We spent the day making amazing memories, exploring the mazes, racing down the slides, zooming along the zip wires, climbing, playing, watching the wonderful shows, and meeting lots of fantastic characters along the way.

Back at Blossom Childminding, we finished our celebrations with a special graduation ceremony, where our school leavers received their certificates, graduation photos and gifts before watching a lovely video full of memories from their time with us. 🎓💛

A perfect day celebrating a very special group of children. We are so proud of you all and wish you the very best for your next adventure! 🌸✨

☀️ Looking back at last week’s heatwave… ☀️

Although the temperatures were high, we still had a fantastic week together! We adapted our days to keep everyone safe and comfortable, with lots of water play, time in the paddling pool and plenty of outdoor fun in the shade under our event shelters.

The children kept hydrated throughout the day with regular drinks of water and enjoyed cooling down with a tasty ice lolly as a special treat.🍦
We also had our monthly drumming workshop, which was full of rhythm, energy and lots of smiles! 🥁

It was wonderful to see so many happy faces, lots of laughter and children making the most of the summer weather while staying cool and safe. 😊

Our amazing staff member Gabby has just received a very special award for her girlguiding leadership! We are super proud of you Gabby 🥰

🌸 A Huge Thank You to Bella 🌸

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Bella, who is now nearing the end of her apprenticeship with us. Over the past two years, Bella has worked incredibly hard, developing her skills and confidence whilst building wonderful relationships with the children and families in our care.

As Bella moves on to pastures new and the next exciting chapter in her early years career, we would like to wish her every success for the future. We are so proud of everything she has achieved and know she will be a fantastic asset wherever her journey takes her.

With Bella’s apprenticeship coming to an end, we will have a vacancy from September for an Early Years Apprentice to join our team.

Today at Blossom Childminding we celebrated the 100th birthday of Sir David Attenborough!

We started the day by making animal masks, before everyone helped to bake a birthday cake for him. The children also made a special birthday card and spent time learning about who he is and the amazing work he has done for wildlife and nature. We then watched one of his programmes on BBC iPlayer.

This afternoon, we enjoyed a lovely outdoor picnic with cake to celebrate this very special occasion. We even sang Happy Birthday!

It was a wonderful day full of creativity, learning, and celebrating the natural world inspired by Sir David Attenborough.
