💜 MEET THE TEAM - MISS JEMMA 💜

Say a big hello to Miss Jemma!

Jemma has been a part of the Footlights teaching team since 2012 and is much loved by all our students. Bubbly, friendly and super brilliant with all our younger students, her infectious love for dance is passed on to her students while she keeps them entertained with fun dance routines.

Jemma has danced since she was 3 and has two daughters attending classes at Footlights so she is a proud dance mum too! 😍

Miss Jemma teaches our Ballet & Beginner and First Steps classes and is the expert in all things dance for our younger Footlighters. She also works full time in a children's Nursery and is studying for her level 5 qualification in this field.

💜 MEET THE TEAM - MISS DAISY💜

Miss Daisy has been a dancer and now a teacher at Footlights for 17 years!!!

She continued her dance training at BOA in Birmingham for 4 years and most recently at Wilkes Academy. Her ethos for teaching is to personalise each class to every student making sure she goes the extra mile to ensure everyone gets an equal chance to grow and receive feedback!!! She strives to teach longevity and encourage confidence to all her students as well as creating a fun lighthearted experience.

Daisy completed all her IDTA Ballet & Tap exams and also her IDTA Level 4 Freestyle Teaching exam and is looking forward to teaching our Commercial Dance Pop Up Shops as well as being our Social Media Manager. 💜💜💜

💜 MEET THE TEAM - MISS ROSIE 💜

Well Hello Miss Rosie!

Rosie joined Footlights as a trainee teacher back when she was just 17 years old and all our students loved her immediately!

Rosie is a huge part of the Footlights team teaching many of our classes as well as providing choreo for our performance teams - she also teaches our Adult Tap class that is full of laughter! She cannot wait to start the brand new Adult Ballet class in September and our new classes in Wem.

Rosie also supports Michelle with a lot of performance and exam planning and helps Emma to keep Michelle on track 😂

Rosie achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Dance and is a beautiful dancer herself - she is someone all the students look up to. Passionate about Ballet but Contemporary stole her heart in University and she is a superb tap dancer too! Rosie has always wanted to be a dance teacher and just loves watching everyone learn something new and develop.

Miss Rosie teaches many of our classes Monday - Thursday, from Ballet & Boogie Beginners through to Advanced 2 Ballet & Tap!

Admin Emma has spent a few hours today on Staff HR Admin.

Every teacher at Footlights has to have the following in place before they can even set foot in a dance class our first week back:

💜 Valid DBS Certificate
💜 Valid First Aid Certificate
💜 Valid Child Safeguarding Certificate
💜 Valid Insurance
💜 A signed contract

Making sure we have all the boxes ticked so your children are safe and happy in class is super important to us 💜

All staff HR folders are up to date and they cannot wait to see you in class w/c 7th September.

💜 MEET THE TEAM - MISS MICHELLE 💜

Every family has a head member and ours is most definitely Mrs Footlights herself, Michelle! 💜

Michelle cannot wait to get back to dancing and is excited about all the dancing fun planned for our Autumn term!

Always smiling and a big fan of sequins and the colour purple; staff, students and parents love Michelle!

She started dancing at the age of 4 and was instantly hooked! She loves to teach dance and relishes sharing her passion for dance with others. Constantly striving to keep learning, Michelle recently completed her studies to be a Licentiate Member of the IDTA. This involved completing 4 mammoth dance exam sessions herself where she achieved Distinction in each one!!!
