Work Experience Week at SBC Training 🛠️📱🏥

Last week, we were delighted to welcome three groups of Year 10 students from Belvidere School Shrewsbury for part of their work experience week at SBC Training.

Our first group attended our Construction Centre at Centurion Park, where they took part in practical carpentry and brickwork activities. Students had the opportunity to develop hands-on construction skills, working with tools, materials and techniques commonly used within the industry while experiencing what a career in the trades could involve.

Meanwhile, the other two groups attended our Vanguard Way site.

📱 Digital Media Session
Working with Alex and Liane, students explored the world of digital media, using Canva to create posters, branding materials and social media content.

🏥 Health & Social Care Session
With Debbie and Georgie, students learned about healthy lifestyles and gained valuable insight into careers within the health and social care sector.

It was fantastic to see so many students engaged in a different learning environment, developing new skills and discovering the opportunities that apprenticeships can offer in the future.

It's been a fantastic week celebrating learner achievements and strengthening community connections across our network.

🎓 Rhian Chadwick and Clair Schafer were delighted to attend a community event at BizEd in Whitchurch, where they had the pleasure of presenting certificates to learners who successfully completed the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. They are pictured with Sarah Lamb and Will Weaver.

👏 We'd also like to celebrate two fantastic achievements at Derwen College. Jasmine Tomkins and Claire Edge have both successfully completed their Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Care Services. Well done to both learners on this significant accomplishment.
