🦆💛 An update on our little duck we rescued! 💛🦆

We have the most wonderful news about our little duck! 🥰

Cuan Wildlife Rescue Centre has been in touch to let us know that our little one is thriving and has now been released with other ducks into their rehabilitation centre. 🦆🦆

We are absolutely over the moon to hear that he is doing so well and is now surrounded by other ducks while he continues his journey back to the wild. We can’t wait to hear more updates about him! 💛

We also wanted to take this opportunity to shine a huge spotlight on the amazing work that Cuan Wildlife Rescue Centre does. They have told us that it costs around £40,000 every month to keep their centre running and, most importantly, to ensure they are there 24/7 for animals in need and emergencies just like ours.

We have made a donation to this incredible cause because we truly believe they deserve all the support they can get. The work they do for animals who are injured, vulnerable and so unlucky is absolutely amazing. 🐾❤️

No Rest for the Wicked at RENU! 🔨🚪✨

For most, summer has been all about slowing down, chilling out and enjoying a well-earned break… but here at RENU Education, it’s been ALL GO! 😅

There really is no rest for the wicked! While our learners and the majority of staff have been enjoying their summer break, we’ve been busy behind the scenes carrying out further works and improvements across our space.

And last week we were getting stuck into the door fitting! 🔨

There’s a lot more to hanging a door than simply putting it on its hinges. We’ve been mortising the door frames for the hinges, carefully chiselling out the recesses so everything sits flush and securely, before fitting the frames and getting them ready for the doors to be hung.

It’s all about precision, patience and practical skills — and we’re loving watching each stage of the transformation take shape.

We are SO proud of how the space is coming together, and we honestly cannot wait to share the finished results with you all. 👀✨

There’s still plenty more to do, but every door, wall, fitting and finishing touch is bringing us one step closer!

Exciting things are happening at RENU Education! 🛠️✨

Our building works are coming along brilliantly. This photo was taken on the last day of term, and since then it's been all hands on deck! It's been hard work, but we're so pleased to say it's finally starting to look less like a building site and more like the education centre we've been dreaming of. 🏫💛

We'll be sharing the finished photos very soon, but we couldn't wait to give you a little sneak peek and share our excitement for this new venture.

This September, we can't wait to welcome our new Ignite learners into a brand-new space designed to be warm, welcoming, comfortable, and nurturing. Our aim is to create an environment where young people who haven't found their place in a traditional education setting can feel safe, supported, and inspired to thrive.

Every learner deserves the opportunity to succeed, and we're incredibly proud to be creating a space where our dedicated team can help make that happen. We can't wait to open our doors! 💙

Throwback to this incredible transformation created by one of our Ember learners during their Level 2 Hairdressing class last term! 🤍

From refreshing the colour and creating a seamless blend to a precision cut and a beautiful, bouncy blow-dry, this is a fantastic example of the skills, creativity and confidence our learners develop throughout their journey with us.

We're so proud of the progress our learners make, and it's amazing to see their hard work reflected in such professional results. We are so excited to see the beautiful transformations next academic year. 🌟

We're loving these incredible newspaper creations made by our Ignite learners! 📰✨

As part of a creative challenge, our learners designed and created stunning wedding dresses using nothing but newspaper. They didn't stop there either—they completed their looks with beautiful handmade hair pieces, showcasing some seriously impressive origami skills! 👰🩶

The creativity, teamwork, and attention to detail on display have been amazing, and they should all be incredibly proud of what they've achieved. We certainly are! 💛

One of our amazing team members, Kim, is taking on an incredible challenge by completing a charity skydive in support of Friends of Alfie Johnson! 🌟

Friends of Alfie Johnson is a wonderful local charity dedicated to raising funds for specialist equipment for children with disabilities across the Black Country, continuing the legacy of an inspirational young boy, Alfie Johnson. 💙

Kim has set herself a fundraising target of £500, and we'd love your support to help her reach it. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference to children and families who benefit from the charity's work.

This beautifully handcrafted cat hammock, created by one of our Ember learners on the final day of term, is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when creativity meets craftsmanship. Every detail reflects careful planning, technical skill, and the confidence to transform an idea into a functional, high-quality piece.

Throughout the project, our learner developed valuable skills in design, woodworking, problem-solving, and perseverance—learning that the best results come from patience, attention to detail, and a willingness to refine along the way.

At RENU, we believe in learning by doing. Projects like this encourage our learners to think creatively, work independently, and take pride in creating something meaningful with their own hands. We couldn't be prouder of this achievement and the dedication it represents. 🌟🐾
