WELCOME! This is where you can learn Italian in a relaxed and stimulating environment through a variety of engaging interactive group and class activities. The emphasis is on speaking and understanding the language for a practical use of it. Grammar is gradually introduced. I offer Italian classes at all levels from beginners to advanced and for those who just want to know enough Italian for trave
lling to Italy. Teaching and learning are tailored to suit each group of learners’ needs and abilities. Absent learners are kept informed on what covered in class by email. I am a qualified (PGCE) mother tongue Italian tutor with many years of experience. I was born in Trieste, northern Italy, where I studied Applied Fine Arts. I also worked in property for several years prior moving to England in 1989. Over the years I taught adults Italian, Fine Arts, Italian Cookery and Life Skills at local colleges and centres in Shropshire. I started working free-lance in April 2010 offering first class Italian day and evening courses for adult learners in the Shrewsbury and Church Stretton area. Each course usually consists of 10 classes of one hour and a half per class, once a week. All courses are based on interactive learning methods which consist of involving the learners directly in dialogues and real life situations. Some home revision activities are usually set to allow learners to practice and consolidate further what covered in class. Absent learners are individually kept informed on what covered in class by email so that they can feel at ease when coming back to lesson, especially if they miss two or more lessons.
