Our U13 girls played their first round of the ESFA competition yesterday in Ludlow.

A fantastic team performance saw the girls secure a well-deserved victory, with two goals in the first half followed by two more after the break, including one just before the final whistle.

It was a confident performance from the whole team, with everyone contributing brilliantly.

A special shout-out to our goalkeeper, who stepped up into the position and kept a fantastic clean sheet.

Well done, Team Prestfelde - a brilliant start to the ESFA campaign!

At Prestfelde, we are incredibly proud of the close-knit community we share. Family is at the heart of our school, and our grandparents are such a special part of the wider Prestfelde family. Seeing generations come together was a beautiful reminder of the strong connections and sense of belonging that make our community so special.

This morning, the Prestfelde community came together at St Giles Church, for our special Harvest celebration and Eucharist. It was a wonderful opportunity to pause, give thanks and celebrate all that brings our community together.

We are especially grateful to all the families who so generously donated food for our Harvest collection. These donations will be given to The Shrewsbury Food Bank, helping to support local people and families who need it most.

At Prestfelde, we believe that helping others and supporting our community are at the very heart of being a Prestfeldian. Today was a beautiful reminder that when we come together, we can make a meaningful difference to those around us.

At Prestfelde, we believe curiosity is where learning starts, and what better way to spark it than through the magic of live music?

Last week, we welcomed Duo B!z’art pianists André Roe and Geoffrey Baptiste, to Prestfelde, in collaboration with

Fresh from Switzerland, the duo brought fairy tales and stories to life through music, introducing our pupils to composers and sounds they may never have encountered before. Their imaginative performances combine music, storytelling, theatre and visual elements, encouraging young audiences to listen, wonder and explore.

We were also delighted to welcome our friends from Mereside C of E Primary School and St Giles’ Primary School to share in a second performance.

Opportunities like these encourage our pupils to ask questions, discover something new and see the world from a different perspective, nurturing the curious minds that sit at the heart of learning at Prestfelde.
