What’s on in Shrewsbury – October 2026

- Shrewsbury’s Oktober Fest: 2nd October
Shropshire’s biggest party provides real ales from local brewers, ciders, gins, w**e, cocktails and more, paired with epic street food and tasty treats from local exhibitors.

But that's not all, whilst you're enjoying a tipple, dance along to local bands on the live music stage, visit the comedy club, bop in the silent disco, and sing your heart out with Aion's Carpool Karaoke.

- Made in Shropshire Artisan Fair: 10th October
The Made in Shropshire markets are held in The Square in Shrewsbury on the second Saturday of the month (excluding January) where you can discover fantastic local food, arts, crafts and produce offered by wonderful local producers.

- Shrewsbury Gin & Rum Festival: 10th October
More than 120 gins, rums and tequilas will be available to explore as the touring Gin & Rum Festival returns to Shrewsbury.

Alongside the main spirit selection, there will be a cocktail bar, samples and tastings from guest distillers, plus live music from a band and DJ.

- Shrewsbury Restaurants Week: 24th October – 1st November
Shrewsbury Restaurant Week returns for nine days this autumn, celebrating the town’s independent food and drink scene across two weekends.

More than 30 local venues are expected to take part, with fixed-price voucher offers alongside special events, collaborations and limited-edition menus

What’s on in Shrewsbury – September 2026

Coracle World Championship: 11th September
Come down to the River Severn and enjoy some great spectator sport, watching the quirkiest, craziest boat race in the UK. Up to 48 teams, comprising four people in each team, relay-race across the river in coracles – single person, circular boats with one oar to steer and paddle.

The Mersey Beatles Tribute Band: 13th September
This live stage show is a gloriously presented celebration of the Beatles music that changed the world.

Shrewsbury Town Farmers Market: 19th September
Shrewsbury Farmers Market is held monthly in the town square on the first Friday of the month between 9am and 3.30pm. It’s a great way to discover some of the best produce Shropshire has to offer.

Back To The 80’s Boat Cruise: 19th September
Step back into the 1980s for an evening cruise on the River Severn, with themed decorations, an ‘80’s playlist, dance floor and fully stocked bar.
