Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to apologise for the increase in the cost of tickets for this year’s school production.
For some context, tickets for our productions were priced at £6 each 20 years ago, when we were the first school to stage We Will Rock You. Unfortunately, the costs involved in putting on a production have risen considerably over that time. Licence costs (adding up to more than £2000 this year!) among other production expenses have all increased and, having made a considerable loss on the last school production of Grease, we have reached the point where we have had to raise the ticket price to £10 per ticket this year (£8 for concessions) simply to cover these costs.
We appreciate that this is a significant increase, particularly at a time when household budgets are under pressure, and we have not taken the decision lightly. We have tried to keep the price as reasonable as possible while ensuring that we can continue to put on the quality of production that our pupils deserve.
We are very grateful for your continued support of the Performing Arts Department and, most importantly, for your support of the pupils who have worked so hard to make this year’s production possible.
We hope that you will be able to join us and enjoy what promises to be a very special performance.
With best wishes,

Ian Evans
Head of Performing Arts

Just to make you aware of the carol concert date in advance this year. The timings have changed a little and we realise this may mean that advance notice is required for parents to be able to attend this popular event. The carol concert will take place on Friday 11th of December at 4pm until approximately 5pm at All Saints Church, Baschurch. Pupils involved will be able to stay at the church supervised at the end of the school day until the concert starts at 4pm. Further information to follow shortly.

We hope you can make it!
